                    • Has anyone heard from warrior? I know he lives in Gulfport or what used to be Gulfport. I live in Meridian, about 200 miles north of the coast. There are so many people from the NO area here that have no place to go, it is just a sad sight to see the looks on everyones face.
JW, you sure that is your brother in law?

                            • I think it was the FEMA Director (not sure) on CNN who said this is a national emergency, not just a regional one. And that is definitely true. The human tragedy that results directly from this catastrophic event is almost unfathomable....loss of life, probably unprecedented loss of property, loss of livelihood for everyone in the affected areas, displacement of everyone in a major city, untold psychologic and social stress. It's unbelievable. And in addition to all of those immediate consequences, the economic consequences for the entire Nation, not just those directly impacted by this disaster, are going to be more far-reaching than any of us in our current state of shock in the aftermath can imagine. We'll definitely have to pull together.
