        When was he EVER normal????....

Where's Bono and all the other tree hugging "Superstars" when we need help here in the U.S.?????

These fucking assholes sure are quick to jump to the aid of foriegn countries after catastophes abroad. Now that the aid and benefits are needed here in our homeland NOTHING.

I guess it's not trendy to help the U.S......

              • Until we meet again!

I WRITE IN COLOR BECAUSE IT GRABS ATTENTION! PLEASE EXCUSE IT!

                Gentlemen and ASB,

I write now because I have a lot to do..... I have to return to my city around 3:00pm today, and I don't know when I'll be back online, either here or have power at home. I don't know what my plans are right now.... my cousin and I are talking about living in Baton Rouge and for the semester and just working as much as possible. My school has emailed out a emergency site, which states at this time..... something equivant to "WTF??? and we dont' know when we are going to open!"

I don't know when I will return, but please keep the donations coming, I know some people here will need them, and please if nothing else, keep it within the BC family. There is much help to do here with the family! Jimmy doesn't need it, and I don't need it, but someone will, I know someone will! This is all I request! I have to go, I'll try to check this before I leave here, but no promises.

I miss all of you and will return as soon as possible, I promise. The aftermath is worse than the destruction, for those of you that have been through it, you know in what I speak..... the problems... the troubles.... it's a long time, until we can call home, our "home" again.

Jimmy - Glad you're okay buddy, and your family. Stay safe, it's a long road ahead!

Warrior - When you get this, please contact someone, as soon as possible, I'm worried about you buddy!

Spark/Tat2 - Thank you and PLEASE KEEP THAT FUND GOING! Thank you gentlemen so much, and I owe all of you guys big time. It will be repaid, you can count on that.

ASB - Take care, and I'll get in touch with you as soon as I can. BE SAFE, AND FIND US A TIGER, we're gonna need him as soon as I'm back to cap games again *laughing*.

To everyone with love, thoughts and prayers, THANK YOU!

                • In my years with the Olympics -I have come to understand that the US is thought to have it all. The world watches as we send ships (you heard right- ships to the area) and National Guardsmen.

Take it from us here in Fla- the greediest fuckers show up on the scene with plywood for a mint, or put your roof on or do this or that. Stores are ravaged for the same items these guys have. Those people are not your neighbors and they do not plan to do what they say. Just wolves in sheeps clothing. Happens every damn time. Be cautious- please -and watch for suspicious characters. You can forget the oil countries- expect our neiboring countries and England especially to send donations of some kind, but other than that- you all must plan for the quality of life in the US to take a big downward turn overall. Money will be tighter, gas shorter and at 3.oo a gallon or more and groceries hitting a high.

Remember the water and wind has also damaged crops as well as many areas that we take for granted. The soil is practically unusable. The agriculture and animal loss impact is much worse than the billions lost in property.

                  • Insurance companies around here are allready denying claims because people have taken trees off their cars, houses, etc. I can just imagine if those poor people in NO and the rest of the coast don't have any flood insurance, they are also out of luck. I am not sure if fema will give any help to people that have insurance or not. This is getting worse by the day. Lets hope the pres. will give money to his own country to rebuild like he has to Iraq.

                      • ASB - LMAO, the bumblebee will have to do. I have to kind of be positive and upbeat right now. It's the only way things are able to get down back home. Believe me there is plenty of negative people that are ready to take whatever they can get for themselves and that's it... helping no one else. Staying "upbeat" is the only thing we have going right now. Take care, I'll be in touch.... I may end up in Dallas or Baton Rouge for a few months... I'll let everyone know as soon as I know.

                          • This is more news on looters.

Officials Helpless Against Looters By KEVIN McGILL, Associated Press Writer
                            46 minutes ago

NEW ORLEANS - With law officers and National Guardsmen focused on saving lives, looters around the city spent another day brazenly ransacking stores for food, clothing, appliances — and guns.

Thieves commandeered a forklift and used it to push up the storm shutters and break the glass of a pharmacy. The crowd stormed the store, carrying out so much ice, water and food that it dropped from their arms as they ran. The street was littered with packages of ramen noodles and other items.

Looters also chased down a state police truck full of food. The New Orleans police chief ran off looters while city officials themselves were commandeering equipment from a looted Office Depot. During a state of emergency, authorities have broad powers to take private supplies and buildings for their use.

Officials tried to balance security needs with saving lives.

"We're multitasking right now," said New Orleans Police Capt. Marlon Defillo. "Rescue, recovery, stabilization of looting, we're trying to feed the hungry."

Gov. Kathleen Blanco said she has asked the White House to send more people to help with evacuations and rescues, thereby freeing up National Guardsmen to stop looters.

"We need to free up the National Guard to do security in the city," Blanco said.

New Orleans' homeland security chief, Terry Ebbert, said looters were breaking into stores all over town and stealing guns. He said there are B]gangs of armed men moving around the city. At one point, officers stranded on the roof of a hotel were fired at by criminals on the street[/B].

The Times-Picayune newspaper reported that the gun section at a new Wal-Mart had been cleaned out by looters.

Authorities said an officer was shot in the head and a looter was wounded in a shootout. The officer was expected to survive.

Authorities planned to send more than 70 additional officers and an armed personnel carrier into the city.

In the meantime, city authorities were putting a higher priority on rescuing victims and repairing a levee breach that was spilling water into the streets.

"One of our fears is if we don't stop the breach, that we will put good people's lives in jeopardy," the governor said. "We are concerned about essentials. We are asking for more military presence in the city to control the situation better.

On New Orleans' Canal Street, dozens of looters ripped open the steel gates on clothing and jewelry stores and grabbed merchandise. In Biloxi, Miss., people picked through casino slot machines for coins and ransacked other businesses. In some cases, the looting was in full view of police and National Guardsmen.

The historic French Quarter appeared to have been spared the worst flooding, but its stores were getting the worst of human nature.

"The looting is out of control. The French Quarter has been attacked," Councilwoman Jackie Clarkson said. "We're using exhausted, scarce police to control looting when they should be used for search and rescue while we still have people on rooftops."

Sen. Mary Landrieu (news, bio, voting record)'s helicopter was taking off Tuesday for a flyover of the devastation and she watched as a group of people smashed a window at a gas-station convenience store and jumped in.

At a drug store in the French Quarter, people were running out with grocery baskets and coolers full of soft drinks, chips and diapers. Other looters were seen leaving a store with armfuls of tennis shoes and football jerseys.

So common -to see this after a catastropic event! Lawlessness is the rule not the exception. :angryfire
