The Coolsat(or any free to air receivers) can be aligned to pick-up many different satelites. The best sats are Dish Network(2 sats) and Bell out of Canada. These have the most sports. It will not get Direct TV. BTW: Coolsats will also get many Sirius radio channels(Howard Stern).
Digital Cable has NOT been hacked.

If I bought this coolsat thing I can get all the channels through Dishnetwork w/o paying? I think 100 bucks a month is alot but at least I know my mom gets to watch at her house for free and I can watch baseball whenever I go there.
Im gonna check this coolsat thing now.....nice thread BTW

Coolsat gets all Dish Network channels including all local TV stations. Therefore you can watch all football, basketball, and baseball from the local stations.
Since you are in Detroit, you could also aim your dish at Rogers Satellite which would give you the "official NFL Package". All for free.

Basically what I am saying is if I get this COOLSAT for under 200 bucks I can get every channel humanly possible that Dish Network broadcasts?
I already have a dish pointed outisde and I have no clue how to point at the 'Rogers Satellite' so I guess that is out of the question
This Coolsat shit sounds 2 good to be true.....whats the catch?

I have been a Direct TV customer for 10 years. I have 7 recievers and a 8 way splitter. I watch all of the NFL and college games every week. I have the Dish exclusively for this reason. I pay the fee every month. Watch out for these cards that can get you free programing. They work and you will get around paying for a while but every now and then Direct TV sends what's called a bullet through their system. This basically fries your card and renders your reciever unuseable. So you will then have to buy a new reciever and spend $200-$300 on a new card and hope it doesn't happen again.
