        • i have no idea. I have digital cable from time warner and we have to order anything extra thru our cable box. I was just wondering if there was a decoder or a card or fliter to get to avoid this.

          • The Coolsat(or any free to air receivers) can be aligned to pick-up many different satelites. The best sats are Dish Network(2 sats) and Bell out of Canada. These have the most sports. It will not get Direct TV. BTW: Coolsats will also get many Sirius radio channels(Howard Stern).
Digital Cable has NOT been hacked.

Yes there's a means of getting all programming from Directv. Pay for it. lol

The new cards have not been hacked and probably never will.

I have Dish Network and currently pay almost 100 bones a month for it but I have the set up here and at my moms house......I ordered the MLB for 169 bucks but was wondering what to do for football

I was thinking I just order a set up with me and 3 of my friends and just order the FOOTBALL PACKAGE ONLY since I prolly wont be hanging out at the bars this season.

If I bought this coolsat thing I can get all the channels through Dishnetwork w/o paying? I think 100 bucks a month is alot but at least I know my mom gets to watch at her house for free and I can watch baseball whenever I go there.

Im gonna check this coolsat thing now.....nice thread BTW

                    PEACE

                    • Coolsat gets all Dish Network channels including all local TV stations. Therefore you can watch all football, basketball, and baseball from the local stations.
Since you are in Detroit, you could also aim your dish at Rogers Satellite which would give you the "official NFL Package". All for free.

When you say local do you mean regional FOX Broadcasting (NBA and Baseball) or do u mean local network programming (NFL) or do you get both?

Basically what I am saying is if I get this COOLSAT for under 200 bucks I can get every channel humanly possible that Dish Network broadcasts?

I already have a dish pointed outisde and I have no clue how to point at the 'Rogers Satellite' so I guess that is out of the question

This Coolsat shit sounds 2 good to be true.....whats the catch?

You can get the coolsat, pansat or someshit like that hooked up and ready to go for around 300 bucks with no recurring bills and it will open up everything.....you can get almost every NFL game through surfing the locals and every MLB game through surfing the different FSNs and locals........its pretty awesome......you can also reprogram it yourself when it fails

                            PEACE

                            • I have been a Direct TV customer for 10 years. I have 7 recievers and a 8 way splitter. I watch all of the NFL and college games every week. I have the Dish exclusively for this reason. I pay the fee every month. Watch out for these cards that can get you free programing. They work and you will get around paying for a while but every now and then Direct TV sends what's called a bullet through their system. This basically fries your card and renders your reciever unuseable. So you will then have to buy a new reciever and spend $200-$300 on a new card and hope it doesn't happen again.
