Direct Tv. Help Needed In Programming Cards

Do you have Direct TV as of now ? They are offering some attractive sports packages for 1st time subscribers. I heard free NFL for the season . Also there's a battery of sports channels that are available if you call them.

.... just in case the other thing doesn't come through so soon.

Yeah, we are trying to get one our friends to get it and
extra boxes. We would use the extras at other places and
all chip in for the total bill. Still looking to see if it is a go ????

Don't expect a hack anytime soon. The reason Directv phased out the HU (P3) cards as quick as they did. They were very confident the P4 cards were hack proof.

Pake, your pooled subscription idea won't work. The Sunday Ticket requires the receiver to call weekly. You can't have your receive call from a different location.

Cover yourself for the season by going through conventional means.

Hell ... 2-3 of Shorty's 10*'s buys everything.

Wish I had better news but it's dry out there .

What if I "pool" a box with the card just for regular
programming ? Will it work without being at the original
location ?

Has anyone tried moving it for the Football package ??

It will work for regular programming, but not for the NFL ticket.

In the past, legit Sunday Ticket subscribers would get their weekly update via the reciever's phone call. The update did NOT come via the satellite.

Someone who is a legit subscriber can better answer your question.

Does anyone who's a legit Sunday Ticket subscriber get the games WITHOUT the receiver being connected to the phone line?

I'm a Sunday Ticket Subscriber, been at it since 1996. Got it at the promotion rate when I bought the dish and every year I subscribe it's $20.00 less for auto renewal. Currently the price is 189.00 after the discount. I think it's the one of the best bargains around at around $12.00 per week. I only subscribe to the Baseball Pkg. & both FB pkgs. not the regular programming.

I will tell you this, I keep the reciver plugged in to a telephone all the time but during the summer months I bring my receiver to another location where I have a second dish set up and no phone line coming in. I've never had a problem doing this but the longest the receiver has been away from a phone line is about ten days. Any longer and I wouldn't know. I really think the receiver calls out from the line anyway so it shouldn't matter. However, I think Directv will throw a red flag on your account if you have more than 4 receivers. They might think you are running a bar and showing the games at a commercial address instead.

Directv came out in 1994, I got on board in 1996 NFL pkg was only $99.00 then and it's still a great bargain today.

I paid for the additional box($120) and monthly($5).
