        • You can also go to a page and enter your full name and it will tell you if any charges have been filed against you. Damm, you should see the list if you put KB's real name in there. Stay out of Texas KB!!!

Perhaps in their "generosity," they are offering me a tourist's discount.
What is the fine for the cop or the red light camera if they aren't doing their jobs properly?

I think the lyrics of the famous song down there ought to be changed from deep in the heart of Texas to deep in the fart of Texas.

              • Boy those prices for offenses are pretty high-it kind of reminds me of New York City where Sax Fifth Avenue has lady's handbags on "sale" for $1800.
I wonder whether the city of Arlington has promotions-perhaps if you get two differeent citations on the same day, perhaps you can us a coupon in one their newspapers and get a 10-20% discount.
Also, on that list of fees for offenses, I didn't see any for sex.
I wonder what it costs if one is getting a bj in the middle of a day in a parking lot and/or whether the fee goes down or up if someone waits to get one at night.
This of course should be coded #0069.

Does the fine change depending on how long it takes for the act to finish and are there "peter maids" to enforce this or as was the case with me, cameras, which would be called of course "red light"/sex cameras?

Savage, I think you may have spoken to the wrong person at your insurance company. With your driving record, you should be given a pass on that ticket. If my insurance company cranked my rates up after 51 years of perfect driving, you better believe I would be calling the caveman or Flo.

Each state has their own insurance regulations, and if your rates get jacked because you have had 1 ticket in 51 years, I wouldn't be talking shit about Texas

Rob-I am not perfect and have had some accidents along the way for which I was found at fault raising my insurance premiums-none in a while though, and as stated I can't remember the last time my insurance rates went up because of a citation by a policeman in Mass and NEVER anywhere by some camera until now.
What I wasn't clear about is that the DMV issues the points and not the insurance company and I believe they must raise the rates by law.
When Bush was elected President and I heard saw how he governed, I got more of an inkling as to how they did things in Texas overall and the overall general mindset there politically, I wanted no part of every going here other than when a flight stopped there or in this case, this year when the prime intent was to see some Sox games.
This cheap/underhanded incident and the unprofessional manner in which it was handled(no certified letter from the State of Texas, the link on line provided by the processing company and not the State of Texas) in addition to the fact that the letter was "sent" a month after the incident after I had returned to Mass. to cite something done by a fucking camera, just confirms why I never have had any desire until this year to EVER go there and certainly not for a vacation.
I have rented cars in many other states over the years, have not changed my driving style one bit and have never received any driving citation notice from any car rental company or any go between processing agency which does the dirty work for the car rental companies or in this case from some spy camera "employed" by the state stationed at a traffic light with no signs saying that such devices were used in Texas.
I can't prove it but personally I think that there is some means by which these spy cameras can single in on rental cars at these signals and designate these as targets to nab out-of-staters as opposed to folks who live there-I think Tech may have been hinting at the same thing.
I wrote a lost of posts today, some serious, some intended to be humorous and sarcastic.
The bottom line is that whether I ultimately win or lose and end up paying nothing to anybody, paying just the processing fee, paying both the processing fee and the fine itself or paying all of above and also having my insurance jacked up, this is important to me and is right up my alley both in the way I did my investigative social service job and the way I conduct it when something isn't right-the best examples of this have been and are my continuous and ongoing attempts to expose what I deem to be fraudulent sports services on another forum, the best examples being Sebastian and No th Coast.
Hope above gives you an idea of where I am coming from.

                            • What I alluded to in post 101 is not as far fetched as you think.
In checking around on line and found and instance where someone received a camera red light citation and appealed it and won on the basis that since he was unable to question his accuser, which was in this case a camera, everything contained in the photo and citation was hearsay.
Unfotunately it would be to costly for me to return to Texas to do this but if and when I receive the official notice from Texas sent by something I have to sign to prove I got it, I will state this in my appeal and make it clear though that I will not return to Texas for the hearing.
I will forever use this should the State of Mass. make a big deal out of this if they are notified.
Anyways, this is the relevant portion of what I said in post 101:

I want and need to know if the red light camera which captured the alleged violation also is required to show up in court to defend the citation.
If this is true and since I would defend myself, I would like to know if the camera speaks and understands English or just "Cameralese."
I need to know this because if for example the camera only understands "Cameralese," then I need to either find a person who speaks and undrstands both "Cameralese" and English or more likely another camera to bring along which speaks and understands both languages so that I can ask the questions which need to be answered.
If in fact the camera doesn't speak either language and/or the representation of the City of Arlington is going to be merely someone who got the reading from the camera but who was not present when the alleged violation took place, then well to me that would not be evidence that the camera was working properly at the time and that the alleged times shown are are correct either.
