That is so unbelievable to me. Me and my family are packing right now.

I find the whole demographics thing pretty interesting and after looking around a little, i found this. The City i mentioned earlier (Portland,Me) tops the Forbes list for "America's Most Livable Cities" in 2009. You may want to keep packing. lol

Portland is about 10 minutes north of me. 5 of the 15 Cities listed are in New England and Portland was Number 1

I didn't read each one but it was based on several factors, including crime rate. Forbes has a pretty good reputation so i assume they did their homework.

You also have to remember, the list is only based on Cities with 500,000 or more people. That eliminates most small cities in this Country. And as it says, no city that big is perfect!

Wow greek , i know this thread is about chicago and i do know how bad it is. Probably haven't seen the real bad streets but i've seen the south side.

i live in FL and i knew it was bad here but check this out...

Greek the only ones that i would consider NOT close to me would be sanford, ocala, orlando and tampa.

Every other place on here i consider where i live, and the best part is they list (my area) west palm as # 14 BUT #29 riviera AND #50 lake worth ARE part of west palm, i drive through both towns on my way to gym, when i get to the gym i am in the comfyness of #99 , #11, # 10, and best of all the closest is # 4 !!!!
