Also, we don't have to sit through commercials. I NEVER watch a TV program live. Most programs I watch a day or days later. I often have to tell people don't tell me what happened.

The same thing with sports. Last season I watched every Giants game on DVR. It was great skipping through all the commercials. It would take about 90 minutes to watch a complete game. The only problem was making sure I didn't hear the score.

I mean no offense. I'm amazed that someone doesn't have a DVR let alone ask if anyone has this 'sassy device'. Who doesn't have a DVR. I've had a DVR type device for 6-8 years. My first was ReplayTV.

        Nobody else finds this funny?

On a serious note- have it, love it, makes watching shows easier, never miss an episode, and is great for when you have to do something while a game you dont want to miss is on.

Was tired as shit on Sunday night. Watched the 1H of the Pack game, couldn't stay up for the 2H, DVRed it, and watched it in the morning, with no commercials or anything.

trust me monte i have tried over and over, every recorder i have tried has like an automatic don't copy scanner or some crap because it starts and then after 10 seconds it says disc not authorized.

i was trying to get fights recorded so i can break them down with much clearer picture, NOW EVERYONE HERE IS A LAUGH FOR YOU, i still use an old school VCR and i'm under 30 yrs old !

It may have something to do with the disc itself? If so then I bet theres a way around it with all of these hackers. I know people rent movies and make copies of them.

None taken, buddy. I don't watch enough TV to warrant having one... 'til now. I'm studying for my GMAT now and tend to miss the couple shows I do enjoy. So I thought, I record it and watch it when my brain turns into mush. Just in case...the shows I enjoy are Deadliest Catch, Locked up abroad, the ultimate fighter, and Man vs Food. I know you guys too well. If I left without saying what 'the couple shows' I watch...

I love my DVR. Have only had it for about 6 months and frankly I have no clue why I waited so long to get it. Now I am so used to doing shit on my time I wouldnt know how to cope without it. A lot less things would get done thats for sure...

                      The best was last Sunday...

I had all the NFL games on my 52 inch high def with PVR pausing at my descretion during crucial plays and switching between all NFL games on it...Nadal/Del Potro on my computer...and the CFL game on my other smaller TV right beside it...doesnt get any better than that..

MBA in Finance. I was thinking about getting a Masters in Accounting but I think I'll be a lil more rounded with an MBA.
