Does anyone have this sassy device? I'm thinking about getting one and wondering the amount of time to install it. Do I just plug the cables here and there and I'm good to go or are there a lists of BS I have to deal with?

DVR is arguably one of the best inventions of the 21st century.

It is a monthly subscription. I heard it had a few more bells & whistles than DVR but if i were you, i would just get DVR through your cable or satellite company. It is about $8 per month. You will LOVE IT!

I forget what it was like before DVR. Recording shit on grainy VHS tapes sucked. Not being able to leave live tv until they "Let you" ... that sucked too. Now i can take the dog out or anything i want on "My" time and it is the best invention ever!

Worst thing is when you rent a damn movie on there and it only stays on your dvr for 24 hours now. I was wondering if you could record those with a DVD recorder hooked up to ones TV?

Would be kinda hard to get all of the Little House on The Prairie recorded on a DVR. Why not just buy all of the season DVD's

I don't know. We usually watch the movie right after we rent it.
