Love how on almost all the profiles, the self-descriptions and comments are written in almost perfect grammar, punctuation and spelling (something I can’t even do); and then they throw in that one blaring noticeable error.

Obviously these women do this to "get their foot in the door" so to speak and make themselves desirable and to get some men to write/communicate to/with them.
On the other hand, most sites allow a man to instant message, communicate via email these aldies and even allow him to call a lady on the phone(assuming she has one) to see what her knowledge of English really is without any "help from the audience."

Savage I did a search on that site and out of 38,218 only 199 of them list English as a speaking language of theirs.

Perhaps the person "airbrushing" the grammar doesn't know all of the correct grammer himself or herself. lol

Down at the bottom in those blank fields I put English. If you narrow it down from 25-35 with no kids and English it's only 92.

The small number you refer to refers only to women who use the word "English" in their profile say as a hobby or in reference to something else; it has absolutely nothing to do with the question on the profile about English and how they answer it(excellent, good, fair, poor, etc.)
From my own knowledge and just as an example, there are many, many women alone in just Russia alone who have a very good understanding of English(especially conversing);that is precisely why that area of the world where American men go to look for a wife.

It didn't only list it as a hobby as I checked the profiles out. On some of the profiles it listed it as an language that they spoke. Why doesn't that site have a field on every woman telling what their English speaking capability is?
