Well I am sure the sex part is true in a good number of cases.
In my case however, it was not true.
Premarital sex is exclusively forbidden by my wife's religion and was made clear to me early after we met.

Are you talking about the women on Colombian Cupid or The Agency Foreign Affair(the one I used) or both?
If I understand your question correctly, I think you are asking/implying that any woman from a foreign country(in this case Colombia) should have a working knowledge of English before signing up with that site-is this correct or do you mean something else?

I mean if they are serious about moving to an English speaking place then I think it would help. I mean shit I can't speak Spanish or Russian. Spanish would be much easier to learn, however what would a woman do once she got here if she couldn't even speak English?

If the lady has poor English skills, why can't an interpretor at the agency write what the girl wants to say. Reading the profiles was sheer comedy!

Yes, they offer that service usually at a higher rate, but it still doesn't explain why they can't speak or are at least trying to learn too speak English.

Well if I was a woman wanting a better life I would pay the extra $$, so what I wanted to say was understood. Relationships are already tough enough even when the two people are able to communicate.

Actually on the tour on which I went, Foreign Affair provided interpeters who who spoke Spanish and English at the dances in order to allow the folks to communicate with another, precisely because some of the men spoke no Spanish and most of the women spoke little or no English(I didn't need one as I had good knowledge of Spanish).
If the man and woman wanted to go on a date, then the man hired one of these guys for a fee to go out on the date with them.
For a fee,the agency also provided basic conversational Spanish lessons for men who wanted a crash course.
For the women the Agency provided nothing except the interpreters at the socials and for dates if the man paid the interpreter it also provided the names of schools where English could be learned by the women (assuming they wanted to marry the man) during the six or seven months needed for her to get her Visa.
I encouraged my wife-to-be to attend these classes and she agreed;thus when she arrived here about seven months later, she did have a working knowledge of English.
