Mine is probably much better. We met naturally and no classes are needed to understand each other. People do not assume i'm her father when we are out either.

It's not a big deal, I never said it was. I think it's distracting and stupid, not to mention it bumps threads ABOUT SPORTS down the board each time. And I'm not the only one who thinks so.

By your logic, why ever close any thread?

If you need to keep it open, go ahead, but I think you and Savage are the only ones who really give a shit anymore.

Just giving my input, and mine is, "close the thread." Not that it matters, do what you wanna' do.

Ok-here we go regarding whether the thread should be closed or not since Monte graciously let me decide.
Here is my answer for those interested only in this matter and not which will follow afterwards( I suggest you do rea what follows as I think you guys will agree it is an appropraite decision for me anyways).
Anyways as far as closing the thread, there are two answers and I will defer to Monte to make the final decision.
If I had to make the decision on my own, I would say close the thread at 6:00 Pm tomorrow evening;that will allow just about everyone including to summarize their points/and or make new ones-I think the arguments divorce stats. etc. have pretty well been exhausted at this point.
The other choice would be to democratically let everyone vote as to whether it should be closed and if so, when and abide by that or perhaps something else not mentioned;lets start a new thread about that. lol -jk of course.
Thats it the way I feel;whatever Monte decides is fine by me.
To other matters for those who are interested-this may relieve some of you guys:
Now as you will recall earlier in the day I called and spoke to one of the owners of Foreign Affair, told him about the thread and the ensuing debate, and that I wanted some divorce stats whice he emailed and which I posted.
We talked a bit, I told him about my success with his service and a lot of the other intense research at other sites and other dating services both American and foreign in my search for a greay wife and how I ended up marrying a woman who was a member of Foreign Affair.
He as you would expect "ate it up" especially since I ended up using HIS service and the happy ending all of which was spelled out in this thread.
Anyways, he told me that in the upcoming days there would be some Conference Calls with himself, guests and others who would explain the procedure to the listening audience, (which consisted of men who were open minded and wanted to learn more about what foreign dating is like) and field questions.
Well anyways, he invited me to take part in these.
Now lets be real-of course he wants me to tell my story because what I say will hopefully make Foreign Affair look good and it will bring in clients.
From my point of view though it gives me an opportunity to possibly help some men who are interested in making a decision whether this stuff really can work or not, and to not only to tell and summarize my story but also answer questions.
I of course accepted his offer, believing that once some of these folks hear my success story, it might give them the quick kick in the butt needed to try this venture.
I may never find out who based on what I say will follow through and go to Colombia or any foreign country, whether they use Foreign Affair or some other Agency if they do decide to go through with it and what the results weill be;however it will give me nice inward feeling that I gave it my best shot and that perhaps directly or indirecty helped some man and woman out there somewhere in the world to find each other and hopefully have a great and lasting marriage.
ps Naturally once I start this, any discussions of this type started by me anyways will be non-existent for obvious reasons-that should make the overwhelming majority of you folks happy.

Considering that it is obvious that you guys want ME to make the final decision and since it is obvious from the ZERO posts today that everything has been said which needs to be said, I say with a resounding yes to take the "patient" off of life support" at 6:00 PM tonight.

I really don't get why you (Spark), mavs and bryce want this closed. It really doesn't matter to me but it has been absolutely DEAD around here lately and boring as hell. The 1 time a thread gets people perked up and actually hitting a thread multiple times, let's close it? savage has taken all the posts well and he has given his thoughts on 99% of them. What's the big deal? I heard you say it wasn't good for the forum the other day Joe but seriously, why?

You guys make no sense to me. If savage was upset and begging to have it closed ok, but he wasn't.

It's like any time there is a disagreement around here, people scream to have the thread closed. It is a internet chat forum and i see nothing wrong with it. If somebody was spamming or calling somebody's mother a cunt or something ok, but nobody was.

Voting is just taking it to a level that really isn't needed though savage. Some guys probably havn't been back since last night but who knows. I don't see the harm in leaving it open like it is in this forum. Maybe in a week somebody comes back to you in here with interest and questions, good or bad. I don't know but why close it? For what reason??
