I don't want to argue Politics since that thread was closed, but we need Socialized health care. We are the only major Country without it. There's no long lines that you have too wait in. Doctors still make big money and everyone is covered with a health care plan. There's always mention of 47 million without health care, but what they don't mention is how many of the people with health care get denied claims or procedures that they need. Also they don't mention how many people go into debt, because of an illness.

LMAO how well do you think the govt runs our education programs in this country? how bout social security? how bout the welfare system? should i go on? 47 million are w/o health care and 1/2 of that figure is illegal immigrants. look at canada,UK just to see how bad there health care systems are. PPL in england pay for govt health care then purchase there own separate plans just to receive decent treatment. socialized health care is a joke. stop with the govt handouts i'm tired of it.

I'm sorry that if I did go over-the-top. Politics is something I have to deal with every day when I'm at work and unfortunately it often gets into a very heated discussion. I didnt mean that last paragraph about getting what's coming to you due to antagonizing someone or the part about you romanticizing other countries. I now see that you werent antagonizing only trying to get your point across. I do however stand by the rest of my post. The last thing I wanted to do was get into a fiasco of a discussion like we used to have in the political board.

My wife's family is very much in line with your views and I often agree with their intentions though I dont agree with the implementation. I think I may have a disconnect with you due to the inocuous nature of internet correspondence. What most socialist healthcare advocates dont seem to understand is that all the best Doctors will stop coming to America and will just go into other fields to make a living.

And why should they answer to non-medical bureaucrats regarding treatment and policy. The Michael Moore crowd will be so happy when that happens and our healthcare goes down the tubes.

By the way, do you think the top goverment officials will get the same treatment as the regular guy if we end up with socialized medicine??
