Yesterday morning my computer background went all Blue. It said ...
"Warning: Spyware threats has been detected on your PC. Your computer has several fatal errors due to Spyware activity. We strongly recommend you download antispyware software to fix the problem"
A icon on the bottom right of the toolbar near the clock keeps coming up too saying "to fix the problem download here and do a FULL System check". I click on it and the web page copied and pasted below comes up. I think it is the virus/problem and we have tried everything to get rid of it. I have Norton and we have run several scans with no luck. It says to turn the antispyware on at Norton because it is off and i'm getting a ton of pop ups. It won't let me turn the spyware protector on though. Someone told us Norton sucked and to try Spybot. We ran that and it found a ton of issues. It even said the page below was causing all the problems trying to get you to buy the software. Itr said it is the thing shutting down my spyware protection and everything else. The problem is, Spybot didn't get rid of it either.
My wife has been trying to find the problem everywhere in the computer with zero luck. She spent 8 hours on it yesterday running various scans and restarts ... with no luck. All pools and everything are on this main computer and we stand to lose a ton of valuable info. She tried to set the computer back 1 week and lose the issue as she has before and it wouldn't even let her do that.
Any help? Please??
