Hi everybody,

Sorry for the delay in getting new Circumventors out. We took a break over Christmas/New Years, and then I was just about to send out more Circumventor sites last weekend when my hard drive died on Saturday, so I've taken it to a data recovery place and they're currently restoring the files and getting the Circumventor site data back, and we should be back up and mailing out new sites probably before the end of the week.

(Oh and I briefly had to switch over to a Windows Vista machine, something I would not recommend, in the same sense that dental surgery without anesthetic is something I would not recommend. Any Earthlings know why they decided, for example, to remove the "File / Edit / View" menu from the top of Internet Explorer by default? Was that a big problem, people complaining "It's so annoying having this menu at the top showing how to do the things I need, I wish they'd get rid of that"?! I may end up writing a Slashdot article about it -- working title: "Hates-a la Vista, baby" or "Hostile to Vista, baby" -- of course some of you guys didn't even exist in 1991 so people might not get the "Terminator 2" reference any more. That was only because Slashdot wouldn't let me use the title "Vist Vucked".)

And... we're back. My old computer is back to life with a new hard drive and the Windows Vista machine has returned to the customer service basement at Circuit City until it can pounce on another unsuspecting customer. When I mentioned the problems to the customer service guy there as I returned it, he said in spite of the problems, "I do highly suggest using Vista." Grammar check: You can "strongly suggest" something. You can "highly recommend" something. However if you say that you "highly suggest" something, that literally means you made the suggestion while smoking crack, so perhaps in this case it was appropriate.

Happy Martin Luther King day to the Americans on the list! I know it's just a day off school to a lot of people, but he was a good guy. Now if he could have just been born later in the year so we could have a 3-day weekend when the weather doesn't suck.

here at work this weekend they are installing some firewall program called barracuta ? they are restricting internet access. how can i go abouts loggin on here? and will it be tracked? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Type www.bettorschat.com and it should work

And I'm assuming the only thing it would show at your work is grapemouse.com or whatever service that you're using.

If you have any questions let me know...

I will warn you now...this does work for most firewalls...however...surfing BC is very slow...actually surfing the net is very slow through this circumventor...but it does get through most firewalls.
