I know where your coming from, and agree with a portion of it.
I just don't see it as black and white as you do.
Considering what people have projected for us this year...if we do make it to a bowl game and win....I would consider that a success because there are little to no expectations on our success this year.
Measuring Success based upon reduced expectations I feel is not the right way to measure. So if they win their minimum 6 games and go to the South Carolina Front Porch Bowl, then the season was a success? That is like saying of the Yankees win the Wild card the season is a success. Just don't think it is right, all sports teams should be help to one objective to measure success, their championship.
FYI - You wouldn't have won the Championship even if you won that game, thus Failure. Although you have a little more out them Rook with Petersen being hurt. If you didn't get those few automatic losses a year playing Texas and others, then with that cupcake schedule you may have a shot at undefeated and a national championship, but like ND, doubt you would win the bowl game beating up the likes of North Texas, Utah State and others
FYI, who the fuck said they'd win the championship? Cupcake schedule huh? They played 7 teams who had bowl appearances. Once again, who's your school bro?
