There was a neighbor or someone who came forward maybe a year or two ago who said that Bonds was jealous of Sosa and McGwire for all the attention they were getting. The person said that he felt he was better than they were and he wanted to prove it no matter how. That is when he began using steroids to gain the edge on those players who had the spotlight he desired so much.

In truth, I can not see this being far from what actually happened. There were even reports that he tested positive for a substance last year that the Giants kept quiet so no one found out. I dont know what it was but it wasn't something he should have been taking I do know that.

This guy is a joke. Id rather have my integrity about me and be a career minor leaguer than tarnish the game that these guys should LOVE MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. The sad thing is they turn this GAME into a BUSINESS and it kills me and every other kid who would give an arm just to step on the field for one game and play as a professional.

I hope your son does well, JC. That's fun to watch em develop. My oldest son played 4 years of intercollegiate baseball. He was a junior college all-american his sophomore year...had D-1 offers but stayed close to home and played NAIA because of a future ex-wife that was at OK State at the time.

The down side for my son was that he didn't really care about anything but baseball and partying.. and like most kids didn't get a chance to play pro ball (5'8" outfielder) so he still hasn't finished college.
