Think of it this way.....Many athletes are from the "hood" and what is the hood loaded with? gangs.....Then the teams throw money at these guys and expect them to all of a sudden be upstanding citizens and many of the "white bread" fan base live in a fantasy world and think these guys are good people....Most have nothing in common with these gangstas.Many are just gang bangers with talent...There was a special on this a few years ago...they send chunks of money back to the gangs as well....
My take on it is that most crimes are not random......Most victims know their killers or are involved with them at some time......When i heard this i thought "gang retribution" on some level......Let's be real here....Most upstanding citizens in sports would ever be in these situations.....

Prior to the shooting, Williams and Walker had attended an invitation-only New Year's Eve Party at a downtown restaurant which included some well-known Nuggets players, including Nuggets' forwards Kenyon Martin and Carmelo Anthony.
Authorities say they believe the shooting was a drive-by, and that the shooter or shooters did not know who was in the vehicle. Police say the shots were fired with a semi-automatic weapon.Comment
