Well guys, I sure hope this forum stays afloat. I am not much of a capper so I do not post any games, but I like the people here.
Dave T, I was really looking forward to your selections this year. Too bad the cost of Vegas has went sky high over the past 5 years. This used to be a really good deal- real estate, rents, and all else. But it has gone up.
Again, it will be interesting to see how all this really unfolds and what gets enforced.

Back when they busted BOS.....The handwriting was on the wall...I put a quick reply to that thread stating I had pulled all my money and cancelled all accounts sans two.......Pinny which I pulled everything but a small amount to play with until the bills ultimate passing happened and Oly which I have TWO big futures bets on Minnesota Twins over 82.5 wins and S.D to win the season series over the Dodgers.......BOTH have won and when they pay the totals I will close it too.

Last step will be dropping Pinny once the details are in on how the feds begin prosecution and get out of the internet scope completely.

Thanx for the generous comments. I need to pick it up a notch. Hopefully I'll get on track Sunday. Once the Excel Program kicks in, we'll be on solid teams if nothing else.

I couldn't believe when I put in last week's numbers. My eyes popped out when I saw the Saints #1 in the NFC (chi #2, sea #3).

It's only 3 week's of numbers, but it does factor in strength of schedule. The more I look at the Saints first two wins, the more impressed I am.

Winning in Cleveland late in the year when their spirit is broken is one thing; but winning in their opener is a moderate acheivement. Then winning their second straight road game at Green Bay. Packers were at home off an embarrasing 27-0 shut out at home. Both those Saints wins say more about their character than what appears on the surface of merely beating a couple sub-par teams, imo.

There's no way I would lay seven points to them this weekend, even though from a technical standpoint Carolina is most definately the play. The line is just too high. Sure, Carolina hasn't had Steve Smith in their first two games. But that doens't exuse their poor defensive play, especially in their secondary...

It will take a while to legislate it even if it passes. It's not something that if it passes tonight, you won't get your money Sunday.

But at some point, betting online will become difficult, if for the only reason of pulling your money out. You'll be able to bet, but finding a way to get your cash without the Feds knowing is going to be difficult. That's what it will come down to.

If they know you are cashing out, and they CAN track your creddit card account or other funding institutions, then you may get prosecuted. My guiess is, they will prosecute at random and not just everyone....Just like they did to online music downloaders.....The Feds want their tax money. That's exactly what this is about my friends.....TAX MONEY

And to a certain exent, the moral standards put forth by Republican lawmakers.....

If I am correct Harold, this would violate the 1961 law already in place reagarding wire tranfers.

This is going to be pretty gray as it seems they are going after funding options as opposed to the bettors as ourselves.

I would not worry a thing about getting your money on that futures bet,Taylor, this law still has to take effect, and be enforced.

I have very serious doubts about the feds going after sites like these and the posters. Very Serious Doubts. It takes manpower they already do not have by the admission of the workload of fighitng other crimes AND the ACLU will be up the US Gov's Ass so fast for infringement on the Freedom of Speech.
I see a sites giving specific details on how to use steroids- a controlled substance. I even bought a book on it once (no I do not or never have taken them). Point is... Freedom of Speech -and to be more realistic- government resources.

IMO if they pass this then they need to ban all forms of gambling in the USA including Nevada, Atlantic City, Mississippi, horse racing, dog racing, poker and lotteries.

I hear what you are saying, but the reason they won't is because from all these other gambling scorces the Government is getting their cut, and they are not getting their cut from internet gambling. Same with pot. The Government can get their cut from tobacco, and alcohol, but if they made pot legal they know that just about everyone who smokes would grow their own. Gambling online is just like growing your own. None for me, none for you.
