Same reason Kyle Farnsworth floats fastballs down the center of the plate with the game on the line - he f***ed up!

4 years ago I was visiting friends from school in London, Belfast and a small town in Scotland. The passion these countries has for the world cup was quite amazing. The games happened to be playing at 6am, 9am and noon local times and I remember going to the bars (which all were open and many packed!!!) and having eggs, sausage and beer every morning. When their individual country was playing the streets were packed and the enthusiasm was so awesome to watch.
I dont claim to be a soccer fan and only follow once every four years but I hardly think most of the world considers tis game boring...

I think he had the "over"
You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning
OK, first let me say that I am from Argentina, and I´m currently living in Spain, so I just want you to hear something from outside the US, although it has been said in this thread that "but this (the US) is one Country that (for the most part) don't give a fuck!".The first thing to enjoy something is to know something about that, because if you don´t know anything you can´t realize the ideas, the strategy, and everything else. The best example I think is a chess game, I think you get my point.
I enjoy watching some american sports, for example I pay a special cable bill to watch NBA games, and it´s amazing, but there is other games that it is imposible to watch for me, for example every year I try to watch the superbowl, and inevitable after 30 minutes I get bored and I turned off the TV, probably it is because i don´t even know all the rules ( by the way how many of you know the rules of soccer, how many of you can explain the off-side rule in soccer?).
The Soccer World Cup is the most seen sports event in the world ( there is more people watching the soccer world cup than the olympic games, and certainly more than watching NBA, NFL NHL or whatever you want). I know, I know, don´t yell at me, the people in the forum is 95% from the US and as previously said americans don´t give a fuck what the rest of the world think.
To finalize I want to tell a real anecdote, probably you dont´t know but Argentine is one of the favourites to win the soccer worl cup, In Argentina the goverment passed a law that if a game is played at 3PM when children are in school, the class has to stop, the school has to provide a TV so every person in the school can watch the soccer game, after the game is finished the teachers can resume the class.
So, if don´t enjoy watching soccer don´t do it, but saying that it is boring is not a good idea, probably is better to say that you just don´t understand the game.
Good Luck to all!! and don´t get mad at me.
I know nothing about baseball, but I enjoy gambling
