I can actually see the Mets being rated where they are a lot more than for the Yanks, who are the second choice in betting overall.
In view of the injuries to Matsui and Sheffield, which takes a lot away form the offense, I would make them no better than 8-1, and if there were a bet of chances of just making the playoffs, no better than even money.

I agree with all of the teams mentioned except Philadelphia, who at best just has an outside chance at the wildcard.

If the Blue Jays can make the playoffs - I think they will - they are built to win it all. I am absolutely sold on this team. They have the best RHP in baseball, two very good lefties, Burnett, who is inconsistent but talented, and rookie Janssen, who might eventually be the best of them all.
Shaky middle relief, but a dominant closer and one of the five best lineups in baseball. I'm holding a ticket on them at +2737 (as well as one on the Brewers +6000, wish I didn't have that one, but you never know)

One more time are the latest odds;notice Red Sox are now second in choices to win it.I can't believe Mets are still rated ahead of them and the White Sox and actually that far ahead of Detroit. Mets are very good, and not to generalize from one series with the Red Sox, but please, +350 to win the WS??? The only reason they are what they are is that they have a lock on the pathetic NL East.
For me as a Sox fan those three games with the ChiSox next weekend will be very telling in view of what happened last year in the playoffs:
