I am not saying the Suns can't come back and win(I had them myself last night), but lets face it-sports history in all sport is filled with teams which had better records than the team they played in the post season and went on and lost to them.
Believe me if the Lakers go on and win this series, it would not be anything close to one of the biggest upsets in NBA;what have the Suns ever done in post history during the last few years?
I hope Phoenix wins, but any team with Kobe cannot be dismissed and certainly not against a team like Phoenix.
ps If memory serves me, the Lakers knocked off San Antonio several years ago after being down 2-0 to them, and SA was a hell of a lot better team than is Phoenix this year.(It is true in all fairness that Lakers then were better than Lakers today).Last edited by savage1; 04-29-2006, 12:59 PM.

ps I bet Lakers for second half at +1 and lost virtually nothing for the game except the juice.
PS Sorry Sandman if I am off limits by posting opinion here.

How can you say it is not an upset? Because of the last 20 games? How did the Lakers do against the Suns in the regular season when the Suns played the entire team? The last 2 yrs? So, you would believe that Sac beating SA would not be an upset because (and I could be wrong as I do not have the numbers) SA limped through the last 2-3 weeks?
Lakers are playing great ball right now and have been for the last 6 weeks, but this still qualifies as an upset. You gotta look at the whole body of work, not a short period.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

Darealdeal...anytime an underdog wins, it is an upset...who was favored in the series? Secondly, you say the reg. season doesn't matter...then how can you use the argument that the Lakers finished strong and the Suns didn't as your reasoning as to why this isn't an upset? If it doesn't matter, why bring it up? Don't get me wrong, I could care less about both teams (actually, that's not true, I am not a Kobe fan but I really could care less who wins) and I do think the Lakers win, but I just disagree that it isn't an upset.Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

savage. You were not off limits at all. I started this thread looking for opinions.
Darealdeal. I posted in my baseball thread for today, why my thinking for the next Suns/Laker game, will be partly based on todays Jersey/Pacer game.
The Suns went 5-2 their last seven games and the two losses were games the starters were rested. The line had Phoenix just a 2.5 point favorite over Golden State. Now why was that.
I just posted, in my other thread, New Jersey -2 as a basketball play.
