100% correct Vinny. For arguments sake, let's see I'm stuck 100K since I lost it on the Seahawks, well, I'm on the Phoenix Coyotes playing the Chicago Black Hawks tonight and I'm -260/+240, what shouldn't I do, bet on the game I'm involved in, OK

Well, the best bet is if a game is possibly fixed. you bet it and end up on the right side, then you don't really care if it was fixed or not.
Seriously, as most folks know, I am of the opinion that over the yeras there have been at least some attempted fixes re: the pointspread in basketball and football. How many? I can't say.
To the matter at hand, as Chuck said, athletes are people, and fix or no fix, and no matter how much money they make, some like gambling;ask Pete Rose, Michael Jordan, etc.
Why do multi millionaire players go the race track? Do they go because they need the money? Of course not. They go because it is exciting and they like the thrill of winning just like you and I do.
Or another example, why again do some very wealthy people play cards with for "two bit ante?" Spending an evening trying to win several hundred dollars is not the issue;it is again the thrill of winning.
I could go on and on;the most important thing again is gambling for many folks including most people in this forum is a form of entertainment that supercedes how well off you are, what your job is, how old you are, etc.
Thus, when I hear someone making a big to do about someone new being caught gambling, I say to myself "Big fu-king deal."
When they capture Osama Bin Laden or rid the world of terrorists, eliminate poverty in the world or somehow establish peace in the Middle East, well then we have REAL news.

First of all it doesn't matter if they bet on Hockey, basketball, football or any sport! Listen gambling is a disease, it's an addiction and believe it or not people do it to make money. And i bet 9 out of 10 times their winning..... People always want to convince that fixing games happens more then they realize and less then some can amagine.... It's a billion dollar business and you literally have a 50% shot at getting it right but the chances are if your betting a nice some of money you have about a 2% chance of hitting. It's exactly like politics my friend, one hand washes the other and everyone is happy besides the poor sap who doesn't no nobody who just got a $200 ticket for nothing because a cop has to make quote for the year. It's who you know and what you got my friend.NBA record 10-1
