Personally..i always liked Damon.. He was the only player i liked on the sox.... Glad we have him but i would have been happier with Juan Pierre...

As a HUGE Sox fan, i don't know how people can't like Ortiz. A Class act and great guy on and off the field and with team mates also. Just a happy guy 24/7 and that is constantly reported by the fans, press, and players up here.

He always says he is just happy to be a Major Leaguer and he loves to play baseball!

I agree with ya Wayne.. I have a HUGE Red Sux fan that I work with and he seems to think that losing Reteria and Damon wont hurt them as bad as some people think.. I told him that if he thinks that then he has lost his fucking mind.. Seriously though who is really going to be you guys starting CF this year or is it still up for grabs going into spring training?>

Not true at all. Everybody up here hates Boston management right now, mainly Larry. We could care less about the Yankees. They will always do what they do and be a contender. Did it hurt losing him to NY of all teams? NO DOUBT but it is more pissed off people towards management for dropping the ball, not NY!

i know i read/follow the sox closely as do most of us fans do. What i cant figure out is why the sox are waiting til spring training to address these issues. Did you see what Varatek said about all this?

IMO..i dont think it will hurt them that bad..... The redsox pitching looks real good.... got a great bullpen as well.. Pitching wins championships..not hitting

I don't think they are waiting on purpose. They got stuck with nothing and you know that when they traded Hanley Ramirez and Renteria that there had to have been a plan in place for SS. That obviously fell short and they are just sitting back praying a Tejada deal shows up but it is not going to!
