that they did...that they did!!!!to take a quote from the lousy north side cub fans, "wait till next year" next year should be good, rest of division is going through coaching changes, and all the bears will be back, d is signed through '07, bradley will be healthy, rex has an entire offseason to learn the offense and learn to slide, berrian will be healthy, mike brown will be healthy, now if we can draft a great TE(the guy i like is either from clemson or auburn, not sure, but they played w. va in a bowl game) or would love to see aj hawh playin strong side lb, or even switch to a 3-4, then we will really have something too look fwd too....but then again this is hte bears, we will draft lineman and another rb or qb!!!!lol

and as far as the game being fixed.....why did penut keep falling?? did we forget that you can change cleats midgame if you are constantly falling down??? and who was that guy on steve smith's 2nd td?? i think he was from the practice squad...and safety help, or no safety help, y wasn't vasher(the guy going to the pro-bowl) covering smith???

that being said, being a bear fan, i would have liked them to win, although i did have carolina +3, i think the betting gods said bears would loose and mr rivera listened, at least now we can rest assured he won't be getting any call-backs for a head coaching job after that performance.

and don't get me started about the lack of thomas jones in the game, all year they ran the ball against 8 man fronts and he still got 1300+ yds, yet he was almost obsolete during the game????

Why didn't Lovie play Grossman in the finale vs Minnesota? I cannot believe how little playing time Grossman had the past few seasons - one start in 485 days! A little more PT might have helped him avoid his horrible start today.

I feel he did come around but you are right Art. Maybe if he would have gotten a little more playing time against Minn he doesn't come out slow in the first half. With what happend yesterday I don't think you will see playoff teams that are going to get the bye week resting players that don't need to rest, at least I hope.

It was not Rex's play that cost the Bears the game. It was the FACT that Ron Rivera did not make any adjustments on the defense. He went with the same game plan as the first game, where the defense got 8 sacks and S. Smith had 169 yards catching the ball.

Who made the adjustment? The Bears front 4 got 1 sack this time around and S. Smith had over 200 yards and 2 TD. No double cover on Smith with their only other threat out of the game.You let the one guy who can beat you beat you. You put single coverage on Prohel and Colbert, let the LB Blitz, cover, and play the run along with the front 4 to stop Goings and you DOUBLE COVER S. SMITH!!!

No LB Blitz, No CB Blitz. When your front 4 is not getting pressure you have to bring help to not only sack the QB, but to make the QB throw before he wants to, and the Bears did not do that all game long.

As far as Saint fan goes. We were getting the calls. The refs gave us our chances to stay in, if not win the game there is no doubt about that. The one play that didn't go our way that I wish would have, was the delay call that didn't get called on the INT.

Saint fan, if I had one wish for your team it would be that Tom Benson hires Mike Martz as your new head coach. If that happens, I'm going to be ROTFLMFAO at your sorry ass team that's going to continue to be sorry with Martz at the helm.
