    I am a big Packer fan, and was hoping for Mariucci, mainly because I think Brett likes him and that would have made it more likely for him to come back.

    I think the Packers will trade their #5 pick and go for more, lower draft picks. It's all a crap shoot anyway and they need help at almost every position.

    What bring Mariucci so Farve sticks around one more year not a smart move either! I'm not a fan of Rogers, I think he's another Harrington in the making!

      I hate to tell you this but this guy was also the Packer QB coach in 1999 and supposedly has a great relationship with Favre...no doubt he is coming back now.

        Mariucci has already been ruled out as a candidate for the Packer head coaching job.

          you are basing his coaching ability on throwing a red flag....are you fucking serious??? do you not think he has people who tell him up in the booth........he has winning teams 5 of 6 years.....just to be a head coach you have to be brilliant and a hard worker.... i know him personally and i can attest that he has forgotten more football than you or me probably will ever know......Holmgren recommended him...Holmgren took him to Seattle......So he must be dumb or not smart as you put it....You crack me up how simplistic you try to make it.....Up until the last 3 weeks he kept his team in every game.........almost as many points scored as given up......no teams had the injuries they had,...to be competitive every week with that team was good coaching......

            McCarthy's numbers when he ran the New Orleans offense were off the charts, including one 432 point season. The reason they got to the playoffs three years ago wasn't their awaful defense!

            Any coach able to produce big numbers while saddled with Aaron Brooks can't be too bad.

            I think he'll be a good coach.

              i think everyone deserves a chance...but we all know that a good offensive or defensive coordinator does not always translate to being a good head coach.....Can anyone say Norv Turner or Dave Wannstedt??? ha ha.....hope he does well.....also probably score alot of points as they were always throwing and playing catchup.....

                Mike Nolan Called 2 Timeouts On 1 Play.. Thats Stupid.. No Injuries No Miscommunication.. He Called A Timeout To Look At The Replay.. Than Challenges It.. Than Lose The The Challenge..

                To Top It Off We Play With Heart So End Up With The #7 Pick And We Are The Worst Talented Team By Far..

                    How is it gonna work out when McCarthy passed on Aaron Rogers to get A. Smith and now gonna end up with him? hmm...
                    NFL
                    5* 1-0
                    2* 6-2-1
                    1* 9-4
                    total = 16-6-1
