Originally posted by Three JackI don't disagree with what you state and, being a season ticket holder and being at Sun debacle as well, Plax was not the only one with the body language. I hate that shit as well but if you are going to call Plax out on it, then call out Shockey too. Plax had, in my estimation, an excellent year. Much better than his Pittsburgh days and I hated the signing. As for Eli, his problems started in the Wash game that they won 36-0...he was something like 12-35 and was awful. The won that game with Tiki, defense and special teams. He was terrible in games 8/9/10....that started his demise. I am less optimistic about him but my glass is ALWAYS half empty.
#4 does not bother me as much because many young qb's think they can squeeze it in like back in their college days....but this is the NFL and your window is much much smaller.......
i still look at eli and see a 51-53% passer which is not really acceptable......
i still have to say he has 1.25 years of play under his belt so i will give him the ben. of the doubt...but i am nervous about the lack of progress (even a digression) the last 1/2 of the year.....Just think how bad he would have been had the jints not had a running game....

Right I couldn't see him living in Green Bay, and I wouldn't want him here anyways, It would be fun though watching him get fire again! LOL, Just another cancer for a football team!

Mike McCarthy is a Lindberger Cheesehead. BRILLIANT!
As a pack fan I too am greatly disappointed. Consider the # 4 retired!
Plaxico is a pussy and too concerned about getting hurt.
Chucky doll will not tolerate or accept that piece of shit on his team, PERIOD!

Yes, this decision sucks IMO. Time to say good bye to one of the only good coaches we had, Jim Bates and hello to the guy who directed the worst offense in football last year. Bates is pissed from what I have read and put off all other opportunities to interview elsewhere. He now says he will aggressively pursue a head coaching job elsewhere, I gotta believe someone will give him a shot and the Packers will be on their 4th defensive coordinator in 4 years, wonderful!

Mike Sherman was not a good coach. He was not very smart. As an example, Sherman continually threw the red flag to challenge plays that were not eligible to be challenged, such as fumbles that were ruled down by contact. Any NFL head coach that cannot grasp what plays are challengable and what plays are non-challengable cannot be too bright.
I am a big Packer fan, and was hoping for Mariucci, mainly because I think Brett likes him and that would have made it more likely for him to come back.
I think the Packers will trade their #5 pick and go for more, lower draft picks. It's all a crap shoot anyway and they need help at almost every position.
