  • How bad was the officiating in the Mich/Neb game???

I thought this game was one of the worst I have seen!

Did not have a side just Mich in some of my bowl polls but I thought the game was not called very well at all.

Mich lost two timeouts for no reason and the one at the end was an incomplete pass!

Just my opinion did not cost me any money but as a football fan it was just terrible!

    The officials
    Best of Luck Everyone

    2012 Record:

    1 unit = $100

***All sides and totals -110 unless noted***

***Teasers are -120 & 7 Points on Sides and 5 Points on Totals ties push****

Also, why no flag for running onto the field? I know it was a crazy, busted play, but still a live ball. Wonder if officials will be questioned on that one?

Just to stir the pot a little...

The refs were all given pregame instructions to monkey fuck Michigan...I did have Michigan in a teaser but hedged out of that shit pyle w/ a Nebraska 2nd H wager...lucky me.

BTW, those were Sun Belt officials, so anyone who can defend these buttholes and the type of game they are used to, go for it...Nebraska fans I'm sure are just happy as clams...

      On to tomorrow.

I had Nebraska and the over but I have to admit, Michigan got royally screwed in this game and probably should have won. The replay official was the most incompetent jackass I've ever seen - How can he not stop play to review those calls - that's his job! Even on replay those were tough calls. Michigan would have had those two timeouts and would have had plenty of time on the final drive, not to mention the eternity it took those clowns to spot the ball at the end. And on that final play - the Michigan player could not even use the left side of the field because the entire Nebraska team was covering the field. I actually agree with Tirico - the WORST officiating I have ever seen - and that is saying something considering how bad it's been this season.

No joke. Horrible, horrible calls(or non-calls). I thought Mich. was playing Hawaii at home for a minute.:christmas

That was truly the worst officiating i have ever seen in a sports game...Those refs were slow, werent confident to make a call, and didnt know that the F they were doing out there.
You have replay, use it on close plays..How could you make Michigan blow two timeouts bc the fat ass in the replay booth was eating a cheese burger and didnt want to stop cheewing.
ON michigans last drive, actually last throw on 4th down, the WR was held, hooked and knocked down on the 1yd line, How the F was there no passing? thats 1st down on the 1 yd line..besides a few other calls too, the last play of the game...The entire nebraska team was on the field, infact i think the refs were stuck in that pack and couldnt see the enitre field. Michigan couldnt use the enitre left side, such BS.
oh yeah, the slow hick refs, it took them about 30 seconds to spot the football on 4th down with 1:10 or so left..such BS, i hope theres an investigation
i got slaughtered on this game, had michigan -2 in a teaser..i never blamed an offical or bad calls or a fix on any game i have ever bet on...but this game, it was given to nebraska on a silver platter

i would like to hear of other peoples thoughts about what happened

I'll agree. Poor officiating. I am a Husker fan and you hate to see a win or a good played ballgame come down to stupid officials. Replay should have been initiated quicker. As for Huskers on the field, yes they were but if you recall Michigan also came out, maybe not as bad, but they did. If there would have been a call it would have been on both. Not trying to defend just stating the obvious. Besides for some of the calls, I thought it was one of the best games this bowl season.

How can the Sun Belt Conference be the Officials for this game? The are use to a Slower Conference and they do not use Replay. I beleive the OFFICIALS were over matched and Scared. Let the Sun Belt Officiate the All Star Games if the Feel they have to Officiate in the Post Season. The Worst I have Ever Seen!!!

Michigan had a couple of guys tip toeing on the sidelines, they didnt affect the play..nebraska had the whole team out blocking the entire left side...crazy..i hope PTI has something to say about this

That was just horrible. Michigan would have won if they would have called the pass interference on the 1, it was plain as day he had him hooked.

Another question?? Did anyone see the refs at the end. I think they all ran off before the play actually ended. Except maybe one. I think that is also why players from both sides starting coming on the field. And not defending because that was a bad way for the game to end, but on the field is on the field. Not Neb or Mich fault. REFS just blew it.

Hands down it was the worst game that I have ever watched. It seemed like they just kep outdoing themselves with regards to terrible calls/non calls.

                              What a game....

Twice Michigan had to call timeout just to get them to review a play (even one that was actually overturned!!!) What the hell was the guy upstairs doing? Listening to his IPod?

So when Nebraska gets the ball back with 2 1/2 minutes left, Michigan can't call timeout and the Huskers are able to run it down to like 17 seconds before they punt. Michigan shouldve had like 1 1/2- 2 minutes there if they had their timeouts, which they only used because of officiating incompetence!

It was also weird when after the 3rd down play, the play clock starts after the ref places the ball down for the punt. The ref placed the ball down and like 10 seconds ran off the game clock before they started the play clock. So Michigan got even less time.

Of course that last play may have been the worst of all. Nebraska's entire team was on the field! Of course we know the game can't end on a defensive penalty, so it shouldve been Michigan ball at the Nebraska 10 yard line for 1 final play.

But of course none of this would have even happened if it hadn't been for a non call on a blatant PI penalty in the end zone on Michigan's 4th down play on their previous possession. What the hell was that?

Also it was interesting how that guy Shanle was flagged for a halo violation on that first play, but not flagged for a halo violation on the next punt, despite doing the EXACT SAME THING!!!! I'm not saying which call was right and which was wrong. But how can they call one a penalty and the other one not a penalty? They were the exact same play.

I've never seen such lazy, incompetent, and less confident officials in my life. The Alamo Bowl will think twice before inviting the Sun Belt conference officials again I'm sure.

How many times can I get screwed over this bowl season?
