Makes ya think about a whole lot of shit we see in these games!

They made a movie about Benny and the ASU scandal.....It's called Big Shot Story of a college campus bookie......Pretty good movie.

Yea, it was like 8 years ago. I think the bookie just got out not too long ago. I've never seen this before or even heard about it. Anyone else have any good shaving scandals. I remember the Florida St. QB from a few years back.............

I'm telling you that some games are fixed. Not as far as w/l go per say but as far as the posted #. IE covering it or not covering the #. If you dont believe that your in the wrong field. Anything with millions of $$$ involved cannot be 100% legit. Its not possible. Again not all games are fixed but select ones are.

I read this morning that because of the way the Bowls are structured , Fresno State U picked up an extra $ 750,000 by them LOSING to Louisiana Tech last Friday.


You guys sound surprised at all this ... certain events are fixed. Don't you know that ?

Definately not like that. But it makes you wonder what is and what isn't. TRust me, I have friends that played, and never did, but said they would shave if they were out of the confrence title late in the season.

Certain games....Yes I agree/kindof.....But It seems like everynight someone starts a thread about how that game was fixed......

look at Chris Webber @ Michigan. National title game. He was given 100's of thousands of $$$$ by a booster urrrrrrrrr bookie to make sure games covered #'s while @ michigan. This is fact. Also remember Webber called that TO with no TOs left. Awfully ironic dont you think???

Why would someone NOT think that there are at least attempts to fix some games;it is simply a microcosm of society:
Illegal political contributions, money laundering, corporate scandals like Enrod;illegal use of steroids for athletes, stock manipulation and trading based on leaks of illegal inside information, lies and twisting of facts to the American public by politicians to justify causes, kickbacks to the latter by corporations for juicy contracts, and the list can go on and on.
And yet, we are supposed to believe that at least some college/pro athletes/bookies, officials and/or other people involved are NOT influenced in their thinking of whether it is ok and/or feasible to try to fix a game?

It happens......

My manager back in New Orleans is best friends with the guy who was busted for it from Tulane in the '80s. He was hired by some mafia guys out of New York and getting paid about 5,000/game he shaved. It was busted and he turned the money and the guys in for a lesser sentence. I've met him, he's about 40ish now, but he has to live in secret because the mafia has tracked him down once..... they don't let things go.

TRY TO CONVINCE YOUR BUDDY, FRANKB ABOUT GAME FIXING, CB. I AM WITH 10DIMEBRY, NOT ALL GAMES ARE FIXED BUT SELECT GAMES ARE. TULANE BASKETBALL PROGRAM ABOUT 20 YRS AGO WITH JOHN HOT ROD WILLIAMS PLAYING CENTER WAS CAUGHT WITH POINTS SHAVING SCANDAL AND THE SCHOOL SELF IMPOSED A DEATH PENALTY FOR 2-3 ??? YEARS BEFORE BRINGING IT BACK. TIGGER SHOULD REMEMBER THIS IF HE WAS IN NEW ORLEANS AT THAT TIME.
