The Cougars are a well coached team and they have a balanced attack that will give the Jayhawks trouble in this game. Houston is avg 277.6 yards passing and 178.8 yards rushing. Turnover margin is close but the Cougars hold a small edge as Houston is -2 on the year and Kansas is -10. I feel this gives the Cougars an advantage in this game as Kansas is not an explosive team and if they stop their drives with turnovers that will really hurt them as they are a ball control team. Here are some stats for this game: Houston avg 178.8 RYPG and 277.6 PYPG. Kansas on the other hand is a defensive team but a team that can be thrown on by an offense like the one that Houston will run. Houston leads in every offensive category and I feel with their passing game game and their unique style of offense that they will confuse the Jayhawks and this will produce some long TD passes for the Cougars. Houston has an offense similar to Texas Tech (that is where their coach's college experience is from) and Kansas had trouble with them earlier in the year. Houston QB Kolb is a great player and the Cougars and their players will want to show that they are a program to watch out for in the future. This game is also being played in Texas so you would think that the Cougars would have a large following at this game. I also think that Kansas already won their "bowl game" this year by defeating Iowa St in their last home game. Houston 34-17!!!!!
