I don't live there, but Hawaii is great...depending on the type of person you are, once the newness of the ISLAND wears off they say some or many? get 'ROCK FEVER'...you run out of things to do, places to go and places to go...it's very cultural as well, so other than tour-ONS, your circle of influence/friends may be limited or hard to break in to at first...

Did I mention you run out of places to go to???

Again, what type of person are you to be thrown into this type of environment, climate, culture...???

Did you know Hawaii is an island and you have no place to go after you've circled it a few hundred times??

Thanks for the insight vinny-v, it gave me some things to think about. If I go there, it won't necessarily be because of the lush tropics, but rather a steady paycheck and good people to work around. It's pretty touristy I know, and I'm very very white, i do worry that if did live there, would I always be a hoale? I don't tan people! My ancestors lived in caves huddled to keep warm from the unpleasantries of northern european weather of the last few thousand years or so. Of course, in the end, it won't really influence my decision (my race I mean, just something someone mentioned to me, I almost feel embarassed for bringing it up).

I wanted to point out that though india (south asia more broadly) tends to be producing the miss world winners (due to baliwood being 'hot right now' according to the source of all great insight, my gf), india was only listed (last I checked) as a +600 or so to win the whole thing, which is almost the same value as broadly picking the region. It's like nascar, with there 2 to 1 payouts for a specific winner in a 43 horse race! Ridiculous...
