  • BigJake NCAAF picks... in case you're interested...

I'm back from a job interview in the OC (i'm on the job hunt! next stop columbus ohio! then after that it's to a hawai'i job interview... whew! a lot of work just to get work these days...

lots of people posting, with more established and (often) better records than me... but, I like posting picks, and especially when I think they have a good shot at winning. I won't try and oversell these ( Big jakes goy!) all plays to win 1 unit...

    Florida state -1 over clemson
    Northwestern +18 over OSU
    Vanderbilt -500 ML
    (5 to win 1 unit, I know i know)

get me to the weekend 7.5pt teaser
    Rutgers +29/Boise St. +16.5 (13 to win 10)

I love you all, but especially you, dearest reader.

          adding

          NCAAFB

          Boisestate +9

I just think this team is too tough for the +9...
          may win outright.
they are 14 - 7 against the spread since 92 when they're the underdog.

they are 18 - 4 vs opponents with winning records.

as we all know... there are lies, damn lies, and statistics...

          let's go Boise state!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks monty (it is monty right?) other than the lucious scenery, any specific reason? How is cost of living there? I know several BC members are Hawaii peeps (oriental hawn, keawe and Waynechung I think), and I think they'd probably agree with you. I went out there last year for a week when my girfriend interviewed for a job there (not accepted sadly...) and it was unbelievably beautiful.

it is a scary time for me right now in terms of lining up where I may live soon...

              thanks for the input!

GL w/ all those wagers...especially the judging of meat, I mean women...LOL

I don't live there, but Hawaii is great...depending on the type of person you are, once the newness of the ISLAND wears off they say some or many? get 'ROCK FEVER'...you run out of things to do, places to go and places to go...it's very cultural as well, so other than tour-ONS, your circle of influence/friends may be limited or hard to break in to at first...

Did I mention you run out of places to go to???

Again, what type of person are you to be thrown into this type of environment, climate, culture...???

Did you know Hawaii is an island and you have no place to go after you've circled it a few hundred times??

                      There's a reason why Gilligan was a NUT JOB...LOL

Good luck w/ where ever you end up and w/ the search...and with the picks!!

                              boo portland, boo boisestate

Portland was better in my memory than yesterday, Georgia Southern is not a power basketball school either, or maybe they are this year.

As for boisestate, well, they just couldn't get it together after that 2nd quarter marauding by Fresno state, who played much better than I thought they would...

hopefully this weekend shakes out better.
