I thought this rule applied in college as well. Penn st lost by 2 if they would have blocked and returned the xtra point they would have tied michigan.

Question-is there any sort of tie breaker system for the playoffs which relies on how many points a team scored during the season or perhaps some sort of point differential?
If so, that could account for the necessity of kicking the extra point.

However, in a regular season game a td scored on the last play of the game is still considered to have been scored within the framework or context of the regular game itself and thus it is logical that extra point should be kicked;thats how I see it.Last edited by savage1; 11-06-2005, 06:52 PM.

I remember that game...it was a december game. My best friend and I were driving back from the Bears/Bucs game in Chicago and turned on a sports radio station from Cleveland and they were talking about it.
