  • The Rainman Controversy

One of The Outs I use is a huge one located in California not far from one of my favorite vacation towns . Their clients consist mainly of very famous people … actors, actresses, rock bands … and on occasion I’ve met some of them through my brother - in - law who is a Hollywood screen writer . All their players have one thing is common … they all have so much money that they don’t know what to do with it all … and they love to gamble huge huge amounts.

Long story short … yeah right … lol …with me it’s never short … whenever I call I’m transferred to the same person each time. It’s gotten to the point where I can ask him on occasion which sides is he getting flooded with and once in a while he throws me a game but it has to be done discretely … I can sense by his tone of voice when and when not to approach . He’s given me 8 games so far in football this season and 7 have covered ; the only loser was several weeks ago with The Colts playing at Houston when they got pounded with Colt money. But in looking at drips and drabs of the 7 winners I sat there in amazement with 2 principal thoughts in mind … “ Jeez look at how these 2 teams are screwing the Public … lol “ ... and “ Oh My God how much dough this office is pulling in “ .

He gives them to me right at the kickoff so it’s hard for me to post them here but if and when I can I’ll try to pass them on to you.

What does this have to do with “Rainman “ ?

Maybe , just maybe , one of his outs has a very sharp employee giving him these kinds of games and if that is true … 80% is not inconceivable. One Big New York Book once told me: “ Do you think I sit on my ass all week long writing bets just for juice ? … the more one sided the game the better I like it and I never lay I off 1 red cent “

I’ve been around long enough not to believe in these outlandish claims made by scammers who do not know dick … but when large offices keep repeatedly writing bet after bet on the same side they will win that game 80% of the time in the long run , given the right clientele. Don't ask why because I don't know the deep down reason other than that in general when the overwhelming majority attempts to predict an outcome with money on the line , they will be amazingly wrong at a very high percentage rate. That is THE LAW OF THE LAND.

If ( and don’t get me wrong , it’s a BIG “IF” ) Rainman has found an “in “ for this type of powerful info … I congratulate him and thank him for sharing it with us ( most of the time his games will serve to confirm what I already know ) and we can expect many many more winners than losers in the future … that is, IF he is going to be allowed to post the games.

I see what I see and will bump up on his games just as long as I keep the feeling that he’s getting his stuff from a powerful, influencial source . For now we can all benefit from his sharing. However, if his source cuts him off … we’ll know that the well has run dry.

Sooner or later his well will run dry … I’m hoping it’s later.

Thanx CB- Thanx for the info. An understanding of business in Vegas and beyond is what is needed. Even if it is a glimpse from time to time. We welcome the education.

Neil, many times I ask my locals what side they need ... if they give me the side I want I will increase my wager ... if they give me the opposite side of what I want I cringe ... Many times if I have no opinion I will just call them and ask who they need .. if 2 locals say they need the Bears tonight I am all over it .. I always want to be on the side of the book ...

I don't think he comes back. I think the ridicule will continue if he does. I hope I'm wrong.....

As to your thoughts Coverboy, I'm in agreement. I once was gambling in Tahoe. I started talking with a guy who worked behind the sportsbook counter there, and we chatted for a while. He told me he made a lot of money each year betting with players and against players. He said there were regulars who came in and lost every time they bet and some that won every time they bet. He went with the winners and against the losers. He gave me two picks that weekend that came through. He said it didn't work every time, but enough to supplement his income quite well. His winning percentage was pretty high. And he only made small unit bets to not get burned. So I know it can be done......

          I agree

I'm friends with my local and was talking to him last night at 9:30...He said he had over $17000.00 on Pitt and $2100.00 on Balt...(nickel of which was mine)...Whenever he's that lopsided on a game...most of the time he comes out on top....that's why he lives in a half a million dollar house!!! I love when I'm on the same side of a game and he also needs that side!!!!

I know at least 10 guys that are or have been LEGIT books ..
All of them retired at an early age or could have ...

How many retired gamblers do you know at the age of 40???

                Additional info

I will always ask my man who do you need and then he'll say well I've written so and so down everytime someone calls, I immediately jump on the opposite side...We are close friends and I guess he doesn't mind giving me the games...usually they come in!!! Two weeks ago I called him and he started out the conversation with Notre Dame for a nick...I didn't even have to ask him...he told me...and it was an easy winner...Maybe we start a thread named "Who does your local need"

                  Thanks Guys

                  Spearit and Kaz ...

I know Spark will recall a member here named " Boomer " .. he came in for a while with a College Basketball Pick , usually one a week. The title of his thread was always called " Gerry's Gem " He hit I think 12 of his first 13 games, then went .500 for the next 4 or 6 , losing his last 2 by 1/2 point each.

All in all he made lots of money for us .

One of the very first things he said when he introduced himself in his opening thread was something to this effect : " I have a friend Gerry who lives in Vegas and is privy to some very good information in College Baskets "

See right away members here not only loved Boomer for the games he shared ... we respected him for his integrity in telling us right out the gate that the games weren't his own.

I haven't seen Boomer in here for over a year but I wish he'd come back to us.

Bottom line ... first and foremost we are here to win money and God Bless any and all of us who are helping others in BC do just that ( And I mean Everyone who is helping ) ... and that should be the end of it.

However , lots of members have been burned in the past by " Services " and have been deceived by lies and End - Runs . Members here do not want to be deceived ... it's a very sore spot ... so it's important for all BC Cappers to not only pick winners but also show integrity in doing so.

He doesn't mind??? He loves you for it .. he wants to be as even as he can get on the game .. he is not a gambler he wants for sure money and the only way to get sure money is for him to be even ...

< Maybe we start a thread named "Who does your local need >

That's really not a bad idea....These may not have done well the first couple of weeks when the favorites were coming, but the dogs will start to shine. I posted that last night in Wayne's thread and I'm holding to that thought process....

                          Kaz Dog

Now that is the most BRILLIANT IDEA yet !!!

WHO DOES YOUR LOCAL NEED ?

Run it by Wayne and Spark ... it's fading the PUBLIC in it's more purest form and possibly can be more effective in fading just services.

Spark ... Kaz has just given us a tremendous opportunity.

Set it up and we should work out the details . ( eg. its best to contribute to that thread as late as possible to get the most accurate account as to who The Squares are on )

                          This sounds exciting

                            Time to Collect

                            Sorry .. I misread a post ... GREAT IDEA

Getting this up and running should be very worthwhile

In any event , we have all created a "Spark " . Now Spark please light a fire .
