Do NOT buy that 1/2 point!!

The Tampa Bay game is just one of the many examples why I personally don't like to play big money line favorites in any sport, and feel that is a far more egregious error to play these over time than it is to occasionally buy 1/2 point, especially if you yourself have reasonable luck when to play as well as an intuitive sense when it might make good sense to do so.
If the extra vig bothers me, I simply lower my bet a little to compensate for it.

If studies show in a general sense that buying 1/2 points doesn't pay, then for comparison I would love to see how a person did who played say every (for sake of this example) 350 or higher favorite in all sports over time and compare the two.
