mcnabb has had his injury since training camp. if he had the operation then he would be back at 100%. he is only hurting the team now. he obviously is in no condition to throw the ball 54 times a game.

i will have to put him farther down on the list at this point in time.

I agree about Favre. I think if he has one fault he tries to do too much. But that's what also made him great.

        1- Brady
2- P Manning (too many INTs)
        3- C Palmer
        4- D McNabb
5- T Green (Most underrated QB in league)
6- Culpepper (Terrible start so far)
        7- Brees
8- Favre (Too many INTs and is getting up in age).
9- Big Ben (He just wins)

I should have said that Manning can't win the big game instead of too many INTs. He even stayed in college an extra year and didn't win anything.

McNabb is a very average at best quarterback now. He used to be much better when he looked to run with the ball occasionally. Yesterday, he had a number of chances to run for 10 yards or more at least, and chose to throw the ball into coverage or throw it away instead. No way would I take him over Ben, Eli, Palmer, etc. Vick is much better because he will still run with it. Once he stops doing that, he will become another great athlete that is a marginal quarterback, like McNabb. Stroub (or whatever his back-up's name is) would make the Eagles a better team offensively than they are now, IMO.

Zeib you have to admit FAVRE has almost nobody to play with this year!

Alright I think there is a lot of merit to this and want to hear your thoughts. Especially frankb:

How can we consistently say QB's are good cos of what offense they are in and who played around them? We say Brees is only good cos of LT. Brady is only good cos of the system and Charlie Weis.
If you do this Montana is way over-rated, was a benefactor of the system and Jerry Rice.

At what point do you stop picturing QB's in different systems and different uniforms and start taking into account what they have accomplished and start giving them deserved credit?

Big Ben knock is that he only throws the ball 15X a game and plays w/ a dominant running game and defense.
Tom Brady is critisized for being a product of a good defense and exceptional coaching.
Manning cant win a big game! Thats the most obserd comment ever in BC. Every game since he was in HS was a BIG game. He was robbed of a Heisman trophy, set an untouchable record for TD passes and took his team to the playoffs the last several years. EVERY game is BIG and if you continue to WIN them as Peyton has the next becomes even larger.
In this intelligent arguement Dan Marino is over-rated as well cos he onnly took his team to the SB and threw 4 billion TD passes but NEVER won the BIG one!!! and John Elway was never a good QB until Terrell Davis jumped onto the scene!!!

This is crazy. McNabb is a damn good QB. He hasn't had any receivers there until last year when TO arrived. He was forced to throw to Chad Lewis the whole time because Charles johnson, Freddie Mitchell, Todd Stinkston and James Thrash were his other options. He currently has a sports hernia and numerous other injuries therefore eliminating his legs, one of his best weapons. The man isn't even 80 percent right now. Brady and Manning are the only other QB's even worth considering. IMHO of course

Another often used excuse for McNabb is he doesn't have any receivers. Brady doesn't have any superstar receivers. Deion Branch? He wouldn't make the Top-20 list of most BC members.

                                good point Frank!
                                Personally here are my choices:
                                1. Peyton Manning - by leaps and bounds!!! He is a student of the game! Incredibly mentally tough, reminds me of MJ and Tiger in that fashion.

well down the line I think my next choice would be McNabb. He is a leader, tough, duel-threat who has proven himself to the same Eagle fans who booed him on draft day.

I think Favre is over-rated simply cos he takes too many chances and consequently too many mistakes. And the most important stat QB's have is their int ratio...

I think Vick is probably 3rd. He may be a runner first and not your stereotypical QB but the Falcons lead the league in rushing for the 2nd straight year cos of him and he throws just well enough to compliment his freakish athleticism!

Big Ben hasnt done it enough to be ahead of these guys and my opinion changes every monday on TBrady...
