    I hated the Islanders. I was a Ranger fan before the Islanders were a franchise. I remember my Uncle coming to my house asking my dad and I if we wanted to buy Islander season tickets.

    I kicked him out of my house. LOL

    LI in the 70s and 80s were great when it came to hockey. It was evenly split between the two teams. Each fan HATING the other team.

      I think because we were the only 2 degenerates on BC. LOL

      I was in bed watching hockey. I changed to ESPN to catch the controversy. I had to jump on BC to see what everyone thought about call in the Chisox game.

        The Rangers & Islanders used to play some of the nastiest games i've ever seen in hockey. Lots of fights and usually blood somewhere. It was brutal!

          Those 2 teams HATED each other. They met many years in the playoffs with the Islanders always winning. Those playoff series were brutal.
