His records will always be controversial !!!!

When he played in Pgh is was arrogant then and is still today..
He don't go out of his way to sign autographs or be a role player for kids to immulate...He is in it for himself and could care less at what accusations are thrown at him. He will always make an excuse for why he said something!!
He is a Black Archie Bunker in my eyes and will always be..
Cant be controversial until proven guilty, witch hasent been done

You guys all need to get over yourselves. Steroids or not, we will probably never see a hitter again, like him, in our lifetimes. Juice gives you extra power, but it does not give you the hand-eye coordination you need to hit a baseball, which is generally regarded as the most difficult thing to do in sports.

Even if he had just kept up the pace that he was on with the Pirates, he would have Hall of Fame numbers.

Do we really care about how he acts, shouldn't we be amazed by what his accomplishments are.....I personally don't or won't get excited for an autograph, if he won't sign his 400 million autograph are you pissed...you can't change an arrogant player, especially if he was that way in Pitts, why would he change in SF...i would just accept it....he's arogant but can you take away the best MLB record that will NEVER GET BROKE and that's his on .812 SLG % and his .609 OMP...steroids don't help your eyes....

Can you say it any better....it's amazing how people can't accept an amazing baseball player and let him do his thing. 100% with ya mule

Chuck...no offense, but if we're looking to professional baseball players as role models for our kids, we're in a shit load of trouble. I will be the role model for my kids.

I was a huge Darryl Strawberry fan when I was young. Huge. I never have and never will come close to liking a player the way I did him. He's a freaking trainwreck, though. Drugs, beating his wife, drinking, etc.

I've never beaten my wife, i've never taken a drug in my life and I don't drink. That has nothing to do with me thinking he has the sweetest swing i've ever seen.

I don't care about the man but he can hit the ball. Steroids or not he has always been able to hit the ball, which steroids does not help you do. Would you want him on your favorite team? I as a Mets fan would take him, look what he's done for SF since he's been back.

                .

wrong wrong wrong. All of these hitters already have outstanding hand eye coordination before steroids. Just to make it in the bigs you have to have better than 20/20 vision. I hate that arguement cause its not even an issue. Bonds was a HOF with or without the juice. Bottom line is he has over inflated his stats because of juicing. And save me the Steroids dont help that much BS too ok. if you dont think steroids help please see Palmerio, sosa,Giambi and get back to me.

Coming from an old timer who grew up watching Mickey Mantle and had to listen to my grandfather who went to many Yankee games to watch the Babe.
Mickey was great for his time as is Bonds but ....
"The Babe had to be taking something to make him so damn good" my grandfather would say. In 1920 he hit more homeruns then any Team (54). Then in 21 he hit 59, more then twice what Meusel had hit who finished second. He hit over 50 homeruns 4 times. (Bonds has done it once) He averaged 4 less walks a year then Bonds but has average 4 more homeruns a season. Bonds is good with or without steroids but it's modern day medicine as well as proper diet and training that allows him to play as long and as well as he does. My grandfather had said the Babe was an ass but boy did he have something special. Bonds plays the part of the ass but will never be the player he will soon pass for homeruns but is the best I've seen play.

How many pitchers facing Bonds were on the Juice? Ryan Franklin proved that even crappy ones stuck the needle in their ass cheek...

Is it unfair to Hammerin' Hank Aaron to have his record broken by Bonds? Probably. But that record won't last forever an neither will Bonds' if he breaks it.

I personally blame MLB for this mess. Bonds wasn't breaking any rules if he was on the juice. Is he a bad example for kids? Yes. Is he an ass? Yes. Was he a stud in Pgh? Yes. Should he go to the Hall of Fame? Yes...

I see Palmerio, Sosa and Giambi......all struggled this year at some point. Since Bonds came back, no struggles what so ever!

Bonds is a fucker, who used chemically engineered shit to do what he does. I cannot respect a man's game, when it wasnt ALL of him who actually put up those numbers. Lets put it this way, If I literally have a cannon as my right arm, and pitch for the major's, can I be considered the best pitcher (considering, there no fucken way in hell anyone can hit my pitch?)

And for his racist remarks...FUCK YOU BONDS!!!! And fuck you to those who still busts out the race card. I myself am a minority. I myself was not born into a rich family. I had to WORK HARD to get to where I am. I am so fucken tired of people bringing out the race card. NO ONE GIVES A FUCK. Work hard to get respect. Live life to the fullest. Love everyone AND STOP HATING PPL B/C OF THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN!!! Only color that should matter is the color green.

Besides that, lets win some money.

Until someone can tell me how Bonds went from averaging 38 HR's a year prior to 2000, but starting in 2000 he averaged 51 HR's a year, I will always believe he started taking steriods right before the 2000 season. With Pittsburg he averaged 25 HR's a season.

He's not only juiced, he is a juiced jerk. It's been said here in the Bay Area, that most of the Giants players were not happy to have Bonds back. They didn't want him in the clubhouse with them. It sickens me to think he will break the Babes record. I wonder how many homeruns the Babe would have hit had he been playing during the same years Bonds played. Even without steriods, he would probally hit an extra 20 HR's a year just because the ball is strung much tighter and the pitching is worse due to expansion. He would have had a field day hitting against teams fifth starter.

I would be very happy if Bonds knee gives out again before he reaches the Babe's record. Very happy.

Fuck Barry Bonds... heres the thing.... Whatever his final home run tally is... A-Rod is gonna break that.

427 HRs at the age of 30

The last 8 years he has averaged 45 HRs a year.

If he plays to Barry Bonds' age of 41 he has 11 years and 495 HRs left easily.... even if he did just 40 HRs a year. thats another 440 ontop of the 427

He should hit 850-900 in his career pending no injuries
Thank you Ryan Howard! <--- ITS A WINNER!
