Monte is right, all senators have feared this for a long time and have been BEGGING for money from the federal gov't to fix the levies, so this wouldn't happen..... NOW they have to deal with this, and unfortunately my community is who is going to suffer the most. There is tons more to say, but it'll come in due time..... such as we threw 80 Billion dollars in the intial chuck to fight in Iraq (well deservingly so), but they said the federal gov't can't spare more than 10 Billion to rebuild N.O...... are you FUCKING KIDDING ME??? Believe me in this, everyone in N.O. is happy to be paying more for gas right now! It seems to be our only way to say..... WE ARE IMPORTANT and THE COUNTRY WILL FIND IT OUT THE HARD WAY AS WELL.

Place are running out of gas all over the south, and we're proud of it, cuz it shows everyone (specially the feds) what "we" do down in N.O. and what "we" bring to the table.

So sorry for all you have been put through. KNOW that I am doing MY part here. I KNOW what you say is FACT. Can't say much more. I am exhausted and trying to do what I can. My lack of sleep, exhaustion, tears and the privy of not-for-media info have made me a different person even though it is from so far away. KNOW that Big W is pissed and disgusted about the way the entire operation has gone down... he broke down when trying to get us pumped up to do the job. Wish I could say more. Might not hear much from me in the next week or so. I'll be back to BC when I can.

That's the one. I had goosebumps when I heard it. He was so on the money with everything he said...and I gained so much more respect for him due to that. He's been in the front lines from day one, while the governer has been hiding in her office with her staff coaching her on what to say....she looks lost. For once FORGET ABOUT BEING RE-ELECTED AND HELP YOUR STATE!!!

Bumblebee...keep doing what your doing. We miss you like hell, but know your trying to get back to some sort of comfort back home. It may take a while, and your visits may be few and far between, but we'll take what we can get.

We took a small collection here...and I"m taking it to Lowe's tomorrow and unless anyone else decides to contribute, we'll have with Lowe's dollar for dollar match over $1500 collected to go to the relief fund to those in need. Awesome for all that did that.
