Talked to Spark about this, and not surprisingly he had the same idea. So I brought this to Monte's attention and he was for it as well.
My proposal is to take a day off this weekend from your normal wagering, and put it toward the relief efforts going on in Louisiana, Mississippi ect. Whatever you'd normally bet on a given day, put it toward the relief efforts. At least you know that the money your putting toward is going for a very very good cause...and quite frankly could be helping people like Jimmy, Ethan, Eddie and more.
I have contacted FEMA and Operation Blessing and they said they would be happy to take our efforts and put it toward the relief there.
I am going to send them a check on Monday. If you all want to contribute a dollar or more....you can email me and if you have paypal, or neteller you can transfer money into that account and on monday I will transfer it via check to FEMA.
This forum is as close to a family as a family can get. My heart hurts when I see all the damage that was inflicted both physically and emotionally on the people there, and I can only imagine what Jimmy, Ethan, and Eddie as well as others in this BC family are going through. It would be great to do your part to help out as well.
I will keep a running tally, keep both Monte and Spark up to date with it and send out the final tally on Monday.
