Cleveland is not really a bad city at all. Of course it IS a major city, so there's always a little shadyness. I've been there about 15 times and have never seen any trouble.

Flats that are not across the bridge gets really bad late at night, near the strip bars and dance clubs. There is a lot of gang activity going on, I was assuming Wayne wanted family atmosphere....Best time is West 9th for food and drinks...I lived above a bar downtown and had a great time...

I am assuming it is no different than Boston or any other big city, but when I mentioned to a couple of people about heading to Cleveland they just thought it wasn't a clean/nice city and I was curious to know if they knew what they were talking about.

East 12th your starting to get a little hairy, stay to west of 6th...East 12th is closer to the Case than it is the Flats. Good luck

Is that bad? It was a pretty nice looking Embassy Suites and it said a 1/2 mile from everything. I figured it would be walking distance but if walking would be bad from there i'd like to know.
