Good job of getting it out CB---I still say this week we'el hav a turnaround...you'll see it---feel it....We can usualy tell first thing in the morning at a glance with our K-Factor vs Dunkel....Data building---some teams overrated---some underrated---willl start balancing out for a truer picture....Patience...

If we lose, or hold our own in the first quarter (most difficult part), then we'll be fine when she kicks in for the 2nd and 3rd quarter....By the 4th (final quarter) we'el have built up our bankroll, and we'el know when to hold back, or when to go for it....

I good day doesn't constitute a turnaround, 2 good days is a good sign, 3 in a row, and look out...kmann

Remember this much---despite the pain of losing right now---we're still up overall, and we just encountered our worst quarter ever...Does that tell you something...

All you can do, is follow the system, alert em as you do, and they can do the rest....You can't carry a burden of a losing streak by yourself...The good feeling of winning again is coming soon..kmann

CB, I like all your plays except Pgh. The cards have beaten Pgh 10 straight times dated back to last year and not to many have been close. Last night I went to my daughters school concert, and sat next to Manny Sanguillen, an old friend of mine that used to catch for the Pirates back in the glory days. He told me that Pgh never will be great and able to beat the top teams like St. Louis because their Head Coach is to conservative and won't run on anybody. He also said some of the better players that should play all the time don't be cause of the Coach and top office officials putting their hands in the mix. He is still involved with their organization and is there at all the home games and he don't like what he is seeing. He said he would be very surprised if they win against the Cards this week let along keep it close without blowing up in an inning or two.
I personally think with the ban on steroids, it has caused the oddsmakers to make higher than usual moneylines than in past years towards better pitchers. Teams are able to hit HRs easilier and it puts more pressure on the offense than it does the bullpens.
You might want to rethink -1 runlines up to 150-160. I've been making loads of $$$ this year and feel it's the only way to stay on top. And will the pitching advantage more of a deciding factor, you have a chance to tie if they win by 1 and not lose!!!

              Chuck

I grew up right on the border of Ohio/PA and you were either a Pittsburgh fan or Cleveland. I started out being a Pirate fan because, well who in their right mind would be a Cleveland fan in the 70's or 80's for that matter. Boy does Manny Sanguillen bring back memories. Willie Stargell, Renne Stennett, Bob Robertson, Bob Oliver, Roberto Clemente, Steve Blass, etc. Amzaing 30 years later I can remember those names. With time I could probably remember a couple more. I can picture the 3rd basemen, but drawing a blank.

              Good Luck tonight!

I hope this is not considered hijacking a thread but I wish to comment on Chuck's reply. A friend of mine has a son who plays for Toronto. He says the steroid ban has affected the relief corp the most. One benefit of steroid use is the ability to recover quickly from an exercise period. Look at all the blown saves this year. Relievers are overtaxed and, with no steroid "bounceback", tire quickly.
                    Any thoughts guys????

Guys. I've been going thru a bad streak also, but on a much smaller scale because I don't get anywhere near the hits you three get. My dog plays were 4 games over .500 and I was up over 7 units. Then it happened. I went 1-11 my next 12 games, but because all my plays are dogs, after the losing streak I was only down less than one unit. Since then my next two dog plays have won.

I feel the same way you guys are feeling, although I hope my dogs are over the slump now and if they aren't I'll just keep cutting back my unit value. Based on the past the dogs will make money. Or it's off to the hot dog factory for them and probally me too. So, keep your chin(s) up, the real wise men winners will be back again and soon I hope.

Most relievers pitch to only 1 to 2 batters depending on the situation. I don't think it affects them as much as it does the offensive batters. You don't see SS and your everyday basehitter, getting many extra basehits as you did in the past.
The Juiced bat factor no-longer exists! It comes down to physically being strong and in tip top shape, as to what I used to call false strength!!! Athletes have to work with what God gave them a little harder now than what they have been use to in order to be the best!

Just saw your post ... given our 5 day nightmare I wouldn't be playing the games for anything worth while .. or at all even. I had clearly advised all to cut back considerably last Friday ( before we got hit ) and mentioned it every day since.

We post every day to chronicle the plays but there was always a caveat. I hope you're not too beaten up by this unfortunate turn of events.

You're not missing anything by laying low .

And you'll know when to start hitting these again because we will advise you to.

I know it's been awful of late but be patient. Preserve your capital.

                              Best Regards,

Thanks for the response......yes, i've seen the note in your past threads and today's one for some reason caught my eye......guess i should pay more attention....hehehe....

I have trouble being patient as I am a degenerate gambler......need to feel that squeeze to get me thru the day.....lol.....

Thanks for your Honesty and Integrity........

                                Aloha!
