Houston Rockets 5*
The Rockets are 3-2 ATS in this series against
the Mavericks. Houston is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 games. And Dallas is 7-8 ATS in their last 15. Expect a well played game on defense from the Rockets. And expect a sub-par performance on defense from the Mavericks. Expect the Rockets to take an early lead and never look back.

Big Al McMordie Pittsburgh Pirates UNDER
At 9:40 pm our selection is on Pittsburgh at Arizona 'under' the total. The Pirates travel west from Houston, where they took two of three games, including last night's series finale against the Astros and Roger Clemens. The Pirates have found some offense of late, and have gone 'over' in their last five contests. They leave the hitter-friendly confines of PNC and Minute Maid, however, and travel to Bank One Ballpark (the 'BOB'), where runs are scarce, to face the Diamondbacks for the first time this year. More significantly, perhaps, they are facing a surprisingly tough lefty in Shawn Estes. Estes has very quietly amassed some of the best numbers of any starter in the NL. Not to be outdown, the Pirates send one of their own effective lefties, David Williams to the mound. It's hard to imagine two offenses as weak against southpaws as these two teams. The Pirates are batting a putrid .226 against left handed pitching so far this year. Not to be outdone, the D-Backs are even worse, checking in just above the Mendoza line with a .213 average. To make matters worse for those in attendance hoping to catch home run balls, these two teams went 'under' the total in the last five out of six games played last year. Lets keep the streak alive and take the under here as well. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
