3* (out of 5*) Celtics +4 1/2
Two weeks ago Indiana was in a must-win situation at home against Chicago if the Pacers wanted to avoid a first round series with Detroit. The Pacers (-9 ½) struggled to an 85-83 win despite the fact the Bulls rested their regulars and sensational back-up Ben Gordon for most of the 2nd half. The past couple of days we’ve seen how competitive teams can be when facing elimination. However tonight we have the ultimate scenario for these desperate dogs. Boston knows a win tonight means game #7 on Saturday in their hometown. The Celtics have averaged 106 points a game in their two victories and 80 points a contest in their three defeats. The bottom line is the Pacers are a miserable shooting team connecting on 41 percent or less in 8/10 games recently. That alone has me gravitating toward the puppy tonight. Both are miles behind Miami and Detroit in the Eastern Conference, which is probably why the dog is 3-1 ATS in this series since our 5* win on Boston in game #1. Motivation certainly won’t be a problem for the Celtics tonight. In addition to trailing 3-2, Boston will do anything to avoid the thought of being eliminated by Indiana two consecutive seasons (lost 4-0 last year). Two years ago, Boston swept Indiana 4-0. It almost seems destiny will have these two rivals playing seven games in this series after back-to-back sweeps in 2004 and 2003. The Celtics must do a better job at handling the rock. Indiana had a remarkable 16 steals in game #5 while Boston committed 21 turnovers. But you rarely see playoff teams this evenly matched, play similar scripts in consecutive games. That has certainly been the case in this series. I usually play ‘OVER’ in potential elimination games, only because a barrage of 4th quarter fouls can be expected. But the Pacers are 14-2 ‘UNDER’ in their last 16 and Boston has been held to 85 or less three times in this series. Consequently, I’ll leave the total alone. As I’ve said before, it’s difficult to trust either the Celtics or the Pacers in the role of a favorite. 3* Boston +4 ½ and an outright win here would certainly not surprise me in this peculiar series.
4* Majors on side & total for Dallas and Houston at the site now.
Feiner-another beaut(says he is 13-1 on his "800" service-another scam-when you lose on internet picks or 900 picks, just say that your(undocumented)800 service is on fire).
ps Feiner was so intent on trying to make a believeable ad, he forgot to give a comp. play.lmfao
