We are taking Arizona (Estes +$135) against San Diego (Lawrence). The oddsmakers continue to undervalue the DBacks, just because they were one of the worst teams ever last season. With a lineup that now includes Troy Glaus and his seven home runs, the Backs are 14-10 to start the season. Shaun Estes is 13-4 with a 3.64 Era lifetime versus the Pads in twenty two starts and is 2-1 this season including a seven inning victory over San Diego already this season. Lawrence has not thrown well at all this season and there is no reason to believe he will start today. He is 1-3 with a 7.65 Era on the season and has yielded seventeen earned runs in just twenty innings. He also had his worst outing of the season against these DBacks, where he gave up six earned in just 2 2/3 innings. The Backs have great value here, we will back the doggie.
