I have now seen it all. Ben Burns goes 1-6 Saturday but somehow claims he pushed Providence. I guess these services have no shame. Burns is the biggest line fudger out there.
I played it and lost like everybody else Ben.
Guaranteed Pick: Ben Burns
Game: Notre Dame at Providence Feb 19 2005 12:00PM
Prediction: Providence
Grade: Push (0)
Reason: After an impressive win over Rutgers, the Friars played well vs. Connecticut, only to lose in double Overtime. The Connecticut loss continued a trend of dropping close conference games for Providence. In nine of their 10 Big East losses, the Friars have been within four points in the final 2 minutes - and often closer, later - before losing by an average of five points. I expect the Friars to bounce back from that defeat and for them to break into the win column vs. Notre Dame. In last year's game vs. the Irish, the Friars played stifling defense, holding the Irish below 60 points, in a 73-59 'upset' victory. Ryan Gomes scored 25 for the Friars with Donnie McGrath chipping in 16. With his senior season winding down and playing his second last regular season home game, expect another huge game from Gomes. Irish get caught looking ahead to Connecticut and the home side wins in convincing fashion! Play on PROVIDENCE *Big East Conference Game of the Year
