Explanation: My Main Event Mo-Valley GOY is a play ON Wichita State! The Shockers were on the wrong side of a little make-up action, if you will, from Mo-Valley referees, in their 73-69 loss at Creighton! The Blue Jays had moaned for a week about not getting what they said were obvious fouls committed against their PG! Well, Wichita had to pay. The Shockers were outshot from the FT line, 23-8! Five Shockers were whistled for at least 3 PF's, while Creighton had just one player finish with more than 2! With that tilt out of the way, look for the league-leading, revenge-minded Shockers to whip Indiana State! The Sycamores own a 64-60 win over WSU, 2 weeks ago in Terre Haute! Wichita jumped out to a 6-point halftime lead, but scored just 26 points in the second half. WSU hit just 27% after the break while ISU canned 61% in the 2nd half and 54% for the game! A far cry from the way they've shot lately! In their last 2 games, ISU has hit just 34 of 108, 31%, including a horrendous 4 of 26 from behind the arc! ISU has lost their first 8 away from home, averaging just 60 PPG! The Shockers are 9-1 S/U at home! Howard, Kampman, and Miller will go unmatched inside in this one, and the backcourt if Burns and Ogirri will have little trouble making up for their 10-point, 4-assist combined fiasco in Terre Haute. The two hit just 4 of 13 from the floor, including 1 of 7 from area code three! This is an ABOSLUTE BLOWOUT and I'm making it my Main Event, Mo-Valley Game of the Year!
