Tom Stryker's 5* Blowout Game of the Year...confirmed

Since getting its clock cleaned at Kansas last Saturday, Texas has been idle and waiting for this poor-traveling Iowa State team to arrive.

There are plenty of reasons to like the Longhorns here. For starters, this series has been dominated by the home team. In the last 11 meetings, the host is a powerful 10-1 SU and, in the last six battles, a perfect 6-0 ATS. In case you haven't noticed, Texas has been a force at home in the Erwin Center against unranked foes posting a remarkable 65-2 SU record. So far this season, UT is a perfect 11-0 SU in Austin and has posted an average victory margin of +20.8 points per game!

Fading Iowa State certainly won't be a problem for this writer. The Cyclones are a miserable 0-28 SU and 10-17-1 ATS in their last 28 on the conference road. Plus, ISU stands a dismal 1-6 SU and 0-7 ATS in its last seven tries on the road entering off back-to-back home games.

Those team trends are nice but this next one takes the cake. As a conference host coming off a straight up loss, the University of Texas is a profitable 21-5 ATS including a perfect 10-0 ATS in its last 10 tries. Longhorns head coach Rick Barnes worked his troops hard this week. Let's take TEXAS minus the points. Thank you and good luck, Tom Stryker.
