Blackwidow Sports Picks
Premium Picks for Wednesday, January 19th
NCAA BB
6 units on NC State -6
NC State is 13-3 ATS after having lost two out of their last 3 games and 8-2 ATS after having lost 4 out of 5. Va Tech is 3-12 ATS after having won 2 out of their last 3 games. The Wolfpack obviously hit a stretch where they looked pathetic, but after last week's win against Georgia Tech the team looks like they are ready for a rebound to get through the rest of the ACC schedule.
4 units on Xavier -6
Xavier is 17-4 ATS after a game in which they made 50% or more of their 3-point attempts and 5-1 ATS at home off a loss to a conference rival. Richmond finally picked up a win against Rhode Island after dropping 4 straight games. They are only 2-7 on the road this season and while Xavier isn't as good as years past, they should come out angry after losing to Fordham and put a number on Xavier.
4 units on Arkansas +3.5
Arkansas has been in a little bit of a tailspin lately and this is a good spot for them to pick off a not very good LSU Tigers team. LSU is just 7-23 ATS against teams who average 77+ ppg and 3-11 ATS a game after they gave up 5 or less offensive rebounds. The Razorbacks get back on track tonight.
4 units on Miami FL +8
Of course Duke has proved themselves to be one of the best teams in the nation this year, but Miami has quietly played pretty well themselves. The team has only one ACC loss, an 11 point defeat at the hands of Georgia Tech, but have beaten NC State, Florida State, and Virginia since. Miami is 26-6 ATS against teams who hold opponents to less than 39% shooting and 7-1 ATS against teams with winning records. The Devils are a little overvalued today as they enter a hostile Miami environment.
