Doffusbutt, did you get these plays from a reputable source? Here is why I ask: On Vegas5.com they are advertising their NFL playoff GOY and they state that all 5 of the handiscammers agree on the same game. Big Al is 1 of them and the pick is Atlanta but you are showing big al's play as the rams. What do you think brother?

Someone questioned the Big Al post in Friday's thread also. I checked Big Al's web site and the advertising write-up doesn't seem to jive with the picks posted here. Perhaps someone could confirm if these are rwally his selections.

Also, to prevent confusion as the day goes along, the "phil Steele" picks posted above are not the late phone plays but some picks out of his newsletter. The late phones are out after 11 eastern.

One of the advantages to these deep Saturday cards on the college hardwoods is how the oddsmakers often resort to straight power ratings in the setting of prices, which leaves so many factors for us to work with. This game combines many of them.

We can start a couple of the key F’s. There is Focus, as the host Tigers can not help but suffer from an emotional letdown after their win against Utah State on this floor in that key showdown Thursday night. And then there is Fatigue, with the game a draining double overtime affair in which three different Pacific players went 40 minutes or more, including 47 for David Doubley and 45 for Christian Maraker.

Next we move to Tempo. There will not be any. These are two excellent defensive teams in half-court sets, and neither does anything to press the shot counts. It showed in their head-to-head meetings LY, with Pacific winning 62-56 here, 63-62 at Moscow, and then 67-61 at the Big West Conference tournament in Anaheim.

Then how about Value, for good measure? Leonard Perry’s Vandals are an improved item this season, and only a offensive dry spell at crunch time at CS-Northridge on Thursday prevents them from being unbeaten in league play. That also includes an easier win over Utah State than Pacific was able to manage. So consider just what the +14 means here, especially given how close LY’s games were - none of them by a margin that is even half of tonight’s pointspread! In this case, even the power ratings are not quite correct.

We are calling for another low-scoring war between these two, and Bob Thomason’s physically and mentally fatigued squad would be more than thrilled to win this by far less than what the oddsmakers are projecting.

Pittsburgh will win this game, but it will be a struggle and very low scoring outside in the elements of Pittsburgh.

The Eagles have not played well since the Green Bay game and without Terrell Owens the Eagles are limited in their offensive weapons besides Donovan McNabb. Minnesota will enter this game with extreme confidence and when these teams played earlier, the score was just 16-27. The Vikings fumbled twice inside the red zone in that contest and if that can clear that up, they have the ability to win this game. Either way, the Vikings will be in this game and will never trail by double digits.
