I'd also like confirmation, if anyone has it, on Underdog. Word is he put the play out early on Oklahoma for fear they wouldn't be a dog---and he only plays dogs---by game time. If anybody can confirm this, it would be appreciated.
As for Big Al, his write-up says tonight's game is his second strongest of the college season. But he already put up---and lost----his Bowl GOY. Why wouldn't a GOY be stronger than a regular play? Answer: because Big Al is a hypester who puts out GOYs and GOMs and GOWs without regard to the strength of the plays.
Well, looks like Auburn is the lay-up play of the day. LOL
Still trying to find out where to get Billy Colman's plays and Godsey's picks. Does anyone know the websites?
WHY is it that a tout on the same day will have a game of the year going and a play of the day and will sell the play of the day for more money the the goy?????wouldnt you think the game of the year would be more
This GOY and GOM and star-rated stuff is silly by most cappers any way. Bet the same on each game and be selective. That's really the key to winning in wagering! If your 4* wins and your 5* loses, you're still 1-1.
If you bet the same for both you're only down the vig instead of the star-rated amount, whatever increment it is.
I bet alot of Al's plays, too, but he had Wisconsin over Iowa as one of his strongest plays of the college FB season but systems do not take into account the psyche of a 9-1 team after being 9-0 and losing 49-14 at Michigan State. It also didn't factor in that Iowa had won 17 straight in Ames.
There should never be a GOM or GOY posted without some regard to the mental state of the team being selected. CAL -10 over Texas Tech, for instance, may have been a good pick had CAL wanted to be there. They were disinterested about the BCS and Tech's gimmick offense whipped them all game long.
While I liked and lost on Notre Dame as well, no way would I have made a 6-5 team a Bowl GOY when I cannot even name the interim Head Coach.
We also shouldn't criticize some of these services when they lose a game. If everyone betting won all of the time, there would be no Vegas and no offshore sportsbooks/casinos.
One could do the best research he's ever done and studied a game as hard as ever but the play could still lose. That's gambling!
I totally agree. When I first started betting back in 2000, I found that site and tried it. What a joke!
Avoid www.vegasadvantage.com. Unless you're into cheesy picks. It's almost as big a scam as that radio show with Joe Wiz where they are always winning at 90%.
First rule to avoid cappers. Show caution when any service boasts they have won over 60% for the season in anything. It takes 52.3% of straight wagers to break even so 55% is actually a good year. 60% is possible for one year but not really so in consecutive years. Those 1/2 points losses occur more than one can guess.
It was me that posted the info about U-Dog's early release. It was given to me by a source who subscribes to two consensus serices and the play was NOT released on the consensus update. My friend knows the group that runs the consensus and the info was passed to him "off the record". My buddy has dealt with these guys for years, and all I can tell you is that he normally plays in the $300-$500 range and he went ahead and dropped two dimes on OKLA based on the info. Wish I could be more definitive, but that's ll I've got. My buddy has taken the info as gospel, and you know I post enough that I'm not making up crap...just can't be 100% certain on the validity of the info. Sorry...
Phil has been much better in the NFL than in college since I started getting Power Sweep in 2000. His college 5* are a scam because the sportsbooks have the plays before the members. Iowa State -3 is -6 30 seconds after 10 am when I bet it. Oregon -7 is -10 in November. That bothers me! No line moves that fast. The books call Steele and get the play so they can adjust the lines accordingly.
Although he rambles too much on those tapes, he only has four Games of the Year and six or seven 5* plays. That's not really excessive.
1. College GOY
2. Pro GOY
3. College Bowl GOY
4. NFL Playoffs GOY
These other cappers have a GOY and GOM for each conference.
